 South Florida BUFO toad.

Now that it is been raining just about every day my backyard is full of BUFO toads.
this is a real problem because I have two dogs both of which are under 10 pounds.
a friend's dog passed away from biting one of these a few days ago same story small dog.
I'm looking for an air pistol capable of dispatching these creatures. My backyard is 15 x 60 and
is all deck so too many things for them to get under and around
They're too agile to simply smash with a shovel. Looking for an air pistol
preferably pump under $100.oo any suggestions

Also open to suggestions of some type of poison for under the deck. Only concern is the smell of these bastards decaying some of them are pretty big

                  .  .          Rally with make death to the toad.      .   .   . [/span]

I used to hunt them and shoot them with a Beretta 22 pistol loaded with 22CB caps in my back yard.
It wouldn't cycle the action so I loaded one shot at a time.
My record was 23 in about 1 hour

I've never seen one that could escape a shovel. Just don't wear good shoes since some of them have a pop to them.

There is a documentary on Netflix that showed various ways of dispatching them, IIRC.

I would think about muzzling your dogs if they are aggressive towards small animals.

Trying to get a picture. As soon as I get within 5 feet take off under
the deck or around something definitely have to come up with a solution

We've started a system of making a lot of noise on the deck and checking carefully.
Before letting the dogs out and then staying with them closely supervising that haven't
gotten too aggressive but it's only a matter of time as soon as they spot them barking and
growling getting close enough so we have to be very careful.

Searching Netflix now

Are these the hallucinogenic toads if yes, why not lick them to death?

I'd look for a used pellet gun or high powered airsoft gun on Craigslist, the classifieds or at yard sales.

Watch the video on YouTube. Of a guy with.  Airsoft and he was pretty
knowledgeable about those weapons the toads he shot seemed to be wearing armor.
He claimed he had nothing that could penetrate and he had a bunch of pretty sophisticated airsoft guns

What's wrong with a 10/22 and Super Colibris?

It looks like they also make simple traps for them.

Trapping, then killing them might give the best results.

A BB gun is all you need.

One shot in the top of the head and they flatten right out.

Having the same problem here in central AZ with the Colorado River toads.  I've just given up and have been taking the dogs out on leash into the backyard.

Great Dane got a toad last year and I guess has no memory of his experience because he's right back to chasing them.

Zero lot line. Would rather deal with the toads in another manner then defending myself in a negligent homicide.

Years ago we had beagles. And they never learned or they just enjoyed having a
hose shoved in your mouth. Or maybe they liked the high.
