Too many dead Native Americans voting this year.   The Ghost dance seems to be working well for the democrats.  Sorry.  Maybe in four more years.

We're feeling pretty good out here - some new polls have been encouraging, but it's going to be a fight to the end.  And if he does lose, word on the street is that he is set up to make legal challenges, just like Kerry plans to.

It's now or never, 'cuz there will never be a candidate better than Thune.  This guy is the ideal candidate, with an A rating from the NRA, vs Daschole's F+.

Too bad the rest of you guys nationwide couldn't see the debates on TV.  Thune owned him all 5 occasions.  This is really the first real challenger Daschole has ever had since he ran for student body president in college (no kidding).  He just can't handle it when someone points out that he is still a liberal in DC, even though he wears flannel in SD.

For the record, I predict a Thune win.

Fixed it for ya.  Senators' terms are six, not four years.  But I'm hoping you guys oust him NOW rather than later.  I'd like to see him like this again:

Like I said, it's now or never.  There are no rising stars in the party that would have even a remote hope of taking Daschole out.  The puffmeister will be there forever - FOREVER - if he wins this one.

A cadidate like Thune was decades in the making, and mark my words, if Thune does win, he will rise in the ranks quickly...  He is just that kind of a guy.

+1 on the Indian vote.  Lots of dirty tricks during the last election, it could be a factor again.

It will be close I think; but Real Clear Politics shows a small (within the margin of error) but consistent trend of Thune leading. The real question is whether Thune can win by enough to beat Daschle's lawyers in the post-election litigation.

You should see the ads were he's all dressed up in his halloween hunting outfit looking for pheasants and saying he's been a lifelong hunter and a supporter of the 2nd amd.  I can't tell you the times when I just about have to kick the TV in.

Question for those of you in SD and that area.

What keeps Dasshole in office?

I mean, I've been through SD a few times and can't even fathom why a liberal Democrat asshat like him could not only be elected in the first place, but sent back to D.C. again.

1. Does he have such a reality distortion field that people actually think he's some kind of middle of the road pol and not the socialist asshole he really is?

2. Does he bring so much money to the state from the Fed's coffers that people are afraid if he goes, the money will too?

3. Is a "prestige" thing?  Do the people of SD think that having a "big shot" in D.C. from such a rural state brings some sort of benefit just because of that?

I mean, what the hell is it?

Gubmint handouts.

Daschle has pretty much said that getting rid of him would get rid of any Gubmint handouts to SD.

"I am at the front of the line come feedin time, and without me y'all might not get anything out of the trough..."
