Every couple of months I bake a ham. I'll eat on it until I just have chunks of meat handing off the bone then I'll make a soup.
Put remainder of ham into the crockpot. No need to cut it up... the meat will fall off and you'll just need to fish out the bones later.
Add Hambeen's 15 bean soup.
One can of stewed, diced tomatoes.
1 tsp (I use a little more) chili powder
Garlic powder to taste or two minced garlic cloves
1 tsp red pepper flakes
Water to fill
I turn it on high and let it stay at a rolling boil for a few hours (usually how long it takes me to go out and see friends for the evening) then I turn it down and let it simmer all night.
The honey cornbread is just Jiffy cornbread mix with a liberal infusion of real honey. YUM!
