In the grand scheme of things I really dont care about this prisoner stuff. I want to be informed about how things are going in Fallujah and when we are going to kill Al-Sadr, etc...

Sorry the Arabs are so weak that they are upset about prisoners having guns pointed at their bare winkies.

We are comparing apples and oranges here most of the time. Terrorists are not governments and have never signed or agreed to Geneva Conventions or any other treatment of prisoners. The press will give them a pass as they are a "mob" and we shouldn't expect humane treatment in that case. OTOH any "humane" gesture from this "mob" will be broadcast far and wide as if we can trust their word. Any abuse committed by the "mob"....well, we had it comin', just like 9-11.

The Fourth Estate has become the fifth column.

I'm having a hard time with my sympathy level too at this point. In our local paper an iraqi who was interogated by Saddam said "shoot me between the eyes but please don't show me nekked". I paraphrase of course but you get the drift. Give me a break!

See this just proves our troops are under trained!

It's only OK to burn people alive, drag their bodies through the streets and hang them from a bridge!

But mental abuse and sleep deprevation are morally wrong!!

It is amazing that our own press corp is giving more coverage (negative) to this than they did the four dead Americans being dragged thought the streets and then being strung up.

Talk about aid and comfort to the enemy!

Where was all this howling from the press. and the left in general, when Saddam was murdering people every day? Where was it when the Taliban were shooting women in the head in the soccer stadium?

The bottom line is that the press hates this country.

mandingo: ONe general(which is a female) was complaining that they spend too much time on political correct stuff and not enough on real training.

Agreed! I don't care what they do to/with the prisoners, and I don't care what they do to/with the MP's that were abusing the prisoners.

What I do care about, and what does piss me off, is the President's reaction! What I absolutely, positively do NOT want to see is Dubb-ya on that stinkin' Al Jazeera news channel kissing up to the arabs "oh, I'm appauled that these MP were treating the terroists soooo horribly, they should be punished".

Screw that crap. I voted for George, and I'll probably vote for him again, but come on! Grow a penis for crying out loud and stop making nice-nice with the people YOU wanted to invade (which I did and do support)!

You miss the point, this news hurts Bush in the polls.

Taking for granted people will be people, the solution is simple. Take no prisioners.
