You got a source for that statement.  The one cow in Alberta that tested positive earlier was from a shipment of cows that came from Britian in 1993.

It was on CBC News last night.

They stated that at this point the exact source was NOT known.

Cattle move back and forth across the border willy nilly.....or at least they used too.

"Previously, Canada had only one case of a cow infected with BSE. The animal, reported on a farm near Red Deer, Alta., in December of 1993, was imported from Britain. Agriculture Canada opted to destroy the animal and its five herd mates."

Note the word PREVIOUSLY>.....

That indicates that they are talking about an EARLIER event....get it??

EARLIER!!

ie..BEFORE the last one!

The LATEST ONE in Alberta is not certain as of yet but MIGHT have come from Washington....

GET THE CONNECTION!!?

Interestingly enough...

When a single cow was found in Canada...the USA closed the boarder..

Now when the same thing happens in the USA....

We do not reciprocate?

The canucks ain't going to like this recrimination.  Everyone likes to point fingers and overreact, when the table is turned WE don't like it, we did do it to Canada then and why should they not take the same precautions?

Great,

The Canucks are sending us terrorists and infected cattle, and to add insult to injury, all my woodworking sandpaper says "Made in Canada" on it. [rolleyes]

I'd sooner buy something from Canada than China.

Just because it came from Canada it doen't mean it got infected in Canada.
