Either Mi-8 or Mi-17. Same body.
Afghan AF. Mi-14 looks a lot alike but has strictly Naval equipment. Kind of like the difference between a Blackhawk and a Seahawk. |

Just to make it crystal clear, EVERYONE serving my country has my complete gratitude. I just made an observation that it looks like they are living pretty damn good when you consider their location. I think back to the Marine F/A-18 mechs at Aviano living in shelter halfs on the side of the runway, while their AF counterparts, whose F-16's were at the same location, were put up in hotels. |

War seems a whole lot more comfortable than peace.
Contrast to Bosnia where: No force provider tents ( GP Medium, 10 men per) Kevlar and Flak Vest Everywhere (didn't wear my soft-cap for a year!) I guess Afganistan is safe and bosnia was waaayyy too dangerious. Fucking Nash, what a moron. Glad to see that got real. |

If DVDT will take the lead for an AR15.com care package, I'll be glad to send some goodies. What would really be cool, would be to send AR15.com care packages to each of the Services(USA, USAF, USN, USMC) in Afghanistan with the request that they be delivered to the forward most elements since those folks are the one who do without. |

I deleted the post with the address - but just so you know, all military units' APO addresses are available to the public. I didn't offer anything that you couldn't have gotten yourself.
But, why make it easy for them, right? That's why I deleted the post. And I'm a knucklehead for saying where they are, too. My bad. You can get their addresses, but you won't know where the package is going...unless some idiot, like me, posts it on the internet. |
