I'm going to go sit in the corner and think about what a selfish prick I am after reading that... damn... dusty in here.

Aye, this.  I know I wouldn't be saying that if I were a triple-amputee....I'd be saying, "Fuck my life and fuck those pieces of shit that put an IED there, cocksuckers."

When I was shot, the sniper was behind me.

Some of my buddies joked about my not covering my sector of fire.  I jokingly pointed out I was shot from behind, and ask who else wasn't watching their sector of fire.
They shut up and never brought it up again.

Sgt Williams,

The rest of Montana is proud of you.

God Bless.

Don't count Sgt Williams out, amputations of today lead to amazing stories of tomorrow.

This video is of the Son of a friend of mine.

I went through Warrant Officer School with Scotts Father.

We need a 24/7 "Heroes" channel to let everyone know about the selflessness of these people.

God knows we aren't going to get any of these stories from the MSM.

I think every Soldier (Sailor, Marine, etc) has that fear. I sure as hell did. Kept me awake some nights. Still does.

+1

On one of our last missions in Helmand our 916 (At the end
of the RCP) got out of the tracks a couple of feet and hit a jug.

The A-Driver lost his leg and had everything else busted and the driver
was knocked out and had his back F'd up.  The A-Driver's doing
fine (Considering) and has said the same things..."I'm glad it
was me and not one of you, I love you guys" .

The Driver feels like the hit was HIS fault and he's still (6 weeks
after we got home) up at Madigan in the Psych' ward.

Thought I'd post this up:

Sloan

One of my friends from Alaska. He also happens to be one BAMF. Probably doesn't remember me anymore, but I still like to make sure my boys are ok.
