Quoted: I hopped on my PC real quick and noticed the server wasn't running anymore. I quickly shot myself over to the machine and it was running fine, but the sites weren't responding... web server was set, dll's running without 1% of processor usage... like the damn things locked up without crashing!!! Just curious, that was pretty damn freaky... -- GB I get the same sort of lockup on my new machine (933Mhz Pentium 3) running Windows 2000 Pro. Seems to happen when I'm running Borland Builder 5.0 and the screen saver comes on. |

Goatboy, it has done that to me several times in the last few days, including around 08:00 this morning, PST. It acts like it cannot resolve the DNS entry, then just hangs forever. I am on a 10MB connection to a data center.

it`s happened a couple times but over greater periods....i have a tendency to blame the regional server but???????? it just stopped moving tonite and i got out by hitting home......

same for me,last few days.ar15 was my home page but had to change it as it would lock up my system.i hadn't heard anyone else having problems so i thought it was just my computer.mmk

Sorry for the site being down for a bit, took the time to upgrade some server software to see if things would stabalize...
I will have to plan a trip up to the server room soon to do a number of things, including some work on the web servers and throw up another server with clustering and load balancing. (This way if one fails, the other will pick up... nice to have backups, but better to have redundency and load balancing I think...) I was going to use this server for something else, but such is life! Again, my apologies and I will continue to examine possible problems with the server. (IT IS NOT A SITE PROBLEM, IT'S A SERVER ISSUE.) Worse case I can plan on swapping that machine out and rebuilding it and then making the trip again and retasking it... -- GB |

On both the animated and icon pop ups, they load but it doesnt give a scroll bar, so you can't get to the bottom stuff.
