Nope, I host an ATF style guys weekend every year. We shoot guns and Tannerite, smoke cigars, ride ATV's and drink in the evening.
I am thinking about not doing it next year because I will be 50, but I probably still will. OP, sorry to hear about your circumstances. Hope next year is better. |

I do but I am an introvert, I moved 1400miles to avoid people I know so it don't bother me. I don't even observe it, mine is the 21st, I'll be at the range Saturday just like any other.

This year I will buy myself a new 1911 and let Arfcom pick it out. I have a safe full of toys, a loading room in my basement with two Dillons, and a range 2 miles from the house. I have things to be happy about. So when the time comes, and you are spending that day by yourself, just remember you're in good company. I drink alone, yeah With nobody else You know when I drink alone I prefer to be by myself... I spend my burfdays alone because I prefer it that way. Usually go to a movie, or sometimes for a hike and some bunny blasting. |

Don't feel bad bro....my birthday is saturday and I will spend it working....2nd shift....."wife" doesn't give a shit, one kid in Japan, the other....well, let's just say he is trying to "find" himself....parents 3 hours away...sister is a FSA dirtbag. And birthdays were always a big thing in our family. We have 4 birthdays in 3 days..my son's and my mothers is today, sisters is tomorrow and mine saturday. So, I will just have my Birthday beer, in the garage, by myself when I get home,
 Damn my life sucks...LOL

My birthday is two weeks from Christmas. Growing up, parents never had the funds to buy me anything since it was so close to the holidays.
Not making a big deal out of the day I was born has been something that's stuck with me. I'm going to do my best to change that for my kids. However, I feel like all sentiments now are just to make up for what I didn't have all those years. A steak and a beer thank you. |

what about those of us that chose to spend our birthdays alone? i hate the idea that you need to celebrate your birthday, if anything you should be thanking your mother for the pain and suffering she went through to bring you into this world, not worried about what people are going to get you. it's just another day to me
