Well who is guys? No businesses, just ordinary members
Edited to add to thread title |
I have a small stash but I think I would be in the running for one of the largest empty brass storages around as well. This is a bad time of year. I do most of my reloading in the cold winter months when the amount of shooting declines somewhat.
I know someone has to have more than I do |
Define ammo whore?
Someone who has a bunch, or someone who has a bunch...of stuff they can't shoot because they don't own weapons that will chamber it? What the hell am I gonna do with this pile of 7.92x33? |
One who has more ammo than he could possibly use in a 2 year period with replenishment and still have some left over I'll take that Kurz off of your hands if you have no use for it I know someone who has a nice C&R that could use it |
Sure as hell not me. I might have 250-300 rounds of mixed fodder for my 14 guns.
I'll give it to ya, if I get to run a mag through it I got some 150 or so rounds of it I think...my dad insists he has more (and insists I take it with me, as apparently it's taking up space in the garage)...I'll sort that out tomorrow/Tuesday. And for a 2 year ammo stock...man, I don't think I got enough space for that much ammo. |
I have a couple thousand rounds, but I highly doubt that qualifies.
That would be my bet. Whore yes, most ammo maybe. Fort HELLYEA |
you are |
probably have 20,000 rds of various calibers at anyone time, enough components to make another 20,000 easily
THANK YOU! My vote goes for Taxman, and Gloftoe has now provided the photographic evidence. What do I win? |

Over 50k rounds of various ammo, last I checked.
Mostly 5.56 and 9mm. |
Holy. Shit. |
Hell, I'm lucky to have 1,000rds total for the 8 different calibers and 13 guns that fire them.
I got a brand new case of Wolf from Sportsmans guide that showed up on Friday and my dad and I went shooting today.....I have 40rds left....2 fu*king boxes!! I shoot too much to save any up WIZZO |
Crap. I might have to show my face if this comes to fruition. |
It would be nice if you at least tried to come out |
You better get off your can and stock up!!! |
Then I vote for dpmmn! I recently ordered a .38 super, and he mentioned that while he didn't own one, he DID have the ammo somewhere.... |
Having ammo doesn't make you an ammo whore any more than a woman having a pussy makes any woman a whore. It's what you do with it that makes you a whore. IMHO, anyone who makes a fort out of his ammo is a f*cking ammo whore! So my vote goes to taxman.

Sadly, my guns are starved. Every day, my 17 guns are left without food, but you can help. Just mail me $100 and I can feed most of them. How would it make you feel to know that you are feeding a WASR-10? It's not the guns fault it was made from rusted out sheet metal in a romanian monkeys basement. But you can give the gun steady meals, and just maybe, the poor thing can have a better life. What about the Bushmaster M4, although it is more well off, it needs to be fed as well. Studies have shown, if guns are fed often, the chances of them loading themselves and commiting crimes is greatly reduced. And before you say that my guns should get jobs to feed themselves, keep in mind no one is willing to hire "black" guns. Racism is still heavy in my area, people just distrust these guns, without giving them a chance. Please, have a heart, buy my guns food.......
At the moment the guns only have about 1500 rounds of ammo, not enough to feed a family of 17. |

I am almost ashamed to admit it, but the last time I checked, I have 70,000+ rounds of ammo. LOL. That includes all calibers but is made up primarily of 7.62x39, .223, 9mm, .45, 12 gauge and 22.
However, this isn't all ammo I've just bought in the last 2-3 years. Some of it has been around since the early-mid 90's, including some Norinco 7.62x39 and .223. As for quality 5.56mm ammo, I think I have 2 cases each of XM193 and Q3131A, for 4,000 rounds. Most of the rest of my .223 is PMC 223A and Norinco. |
I don't know the exact numbers, but it fills three Greenlee jobsite storage lockers.
Ammo whore is one having thousands and thousands of ammo but having no firearms to shoot them. Brouhaha...got your name down. |
Well, you win. I was going to post how much I have (atleast the known quantity, anyway), but there's no point to it now. Hint: It's more than anyone else who posted yet, but not as much as you. [ |
No where near some of you guys. As of last count I have 15,000 in various calibers. I can load up about another 3,000 and have the uncounted 5,000 in .22

Probably close to 80 to 100 50 cal cans of ammo. I am right up there with taxman, and just picked up another 7 K from AIM. Everything from .22 to 30.06. And yes, I do have guns for every caliber. I seriously doubt the wife knows how much I have into it. She knows reasonably about how much in guns but the ammo side? Nope. For a time there was a gal selling ammo at the mason MI gun show for around 60% or everybody else. .454 was 13 a box for factory winchester HP, .45 colt was 12 bucks for 50, 5.56 was around 125 to 140 per K, she got a lot of my business. I am still finding sealed packs of SA 5.56 mixed in with other stuff. This winter I am actually going to sort it all out by caliber once and for all.

We need some pics |

I am pretty sure I'm under 6k of centerfire, I need to make another trip to J&G sales
That is kind of why I started this, but no one seems to want to post any |
