My bro-in-law says I need it.  Is it better than Explorer, and why?

ANYTHING is better than Explorer.

I've been using Netscape since it was at version 3-something.   But when it got to version 8,  I tried it and then rolled back to version 7.2 as it seemed to be missing an email client....or it was too hard to find it.    There were other things I didn't care for much, either.    So Netscape 7.2 is where I'm at for now.

It's much faster than IE.  And it's not a Microsoft product.   Two points for it!

i find netscape to open slow, and bring up web pages slow.  AND newer versions have the same memory leak as firefox

i use opera alot.  the only problem i have is you  refresh pages more often than you should have to

edit:  the last i heard AOL owns netscape
