I said, well you better be carefull they are calling for some nasty storms tonight.  He said "Oh no it is really breezy out, you only get thunderstorms when the air is really still.  He is probably out in the woods with his family right now putting a tent up.

Look what is headed our way......

Things are going to suck for them here in about 2 hours.

Some people never listen.

Good lord. I check the weather religiously, even if I'm just going for a walk.

i was about 10 years old AT THE TIME

when you go for a 10 day long camping trip, you can't get an accurate picture beforehand of what the weather's going to be like on the last few days....

Thats why I like my Jeep Cherokee... if my tent fails, I can always sleep in the back of it.

Heck, I've camped out and had to evacuate because of flash floods on two different occasions. Both times the weather man predicted it was going to be overcast with a 20% chance of rain.

I hate camping in the rain, mostly because I don't want my tent to get wet.

Some people pay absolutely no attention to the weather.  Or they see what they want to see.  My wife is bad for that.  The NWS forecast will give a 30% chance of rain and she'll panic.

This is some mean shit.  At 8pm we had one helluva storm come through.  Wind, hail lots of lightning......I hope this stuff moves out of here before 6am tomorrow.  It is the opening day of spring turkey season.

This is when I start to worry.  Everything else is just a light breeze.
