UPPER ARLINGTON, Ohio - An Upper Arlington doctor has turned himself in on a federal child porn charge. Federal charges were filed against Christopher E. Pelloski, 39, of Upper Arlington. Pelloski is the Director of the Pediatric Radiation Oncology Program at The James Cancer Center at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Nationwide Children's Hospital is a referring hospital to the radiation oncology program at The James, and Pelloski had consulting privileges at Nationwide Children's Hospital. Ohio State officials said that Pelloski resigned, effective Wednesday. A judge ordered Pelloski to be on house arrest on Wednesday. He also was ordered to surrender his passport and not use the Internet. Prosecutors said that because there was no evidence that he physically touched children, and he was allowed to be on house arrest. The Franklin County Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force executed a search warrant at Pelloski's home on July 16 and found evidence that he had downloaded sexually explicit videos of children. The criminal complaint stated that during a search of his computer, sheriff's deputies discovered more than 100 child porn images. According to the affidavit, Pelloski admitted to using a laptop belonging to Ohio State University to download child porn. He currently is charged with one count of receipt of child pornography, which is punishable by a sentence ranging from five to 20 years in prison. Nationwide Children's Hospital officials issued the following statement: "As a referring hospital to the Radiation Oncology Program at The Wexner Medical Center we were very saddened to learn of the investigation involving Dr. Christopher Pelloski. Continuity of care for our patients is top priority and all of those currently undergoing treatment have been assigned to other radiation oncology experts. Since this is a law enforcement matter and remains under investigation, we are not at liberty to discuss further." The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center issued the following statement: "These types of allegations are wholly inconsistent with our institutional values, and we are deeply disturbed to learn of the allegations against Christopher Pelloski. Upon learning of the investigation, we immediately severed Dr. Pelloski's access to all medical center facilities, patient records, email and hospital computer networks. He has resigned from his position at the medical center, effective July 24, 2013. Continuity of care for our patients is important to us. We are contacting each of Dr. Pelloski's active patients and assigning other radiation oncology experts to care for them. Since this is a law enforcement matter under active investigation, we are not at liberty to comment further." Pelloski is slated to appear in court later Wednesday. |

I am incapable of comprehending how a sharp enough mind to achieve his status, could be sick and stupid enough to indulge in pedophilia...

39 years old, he'll end up killing himself I'd wager because he knows his life is over and he likely still owes a ton of coin on his medical schooling.

I've worked with a lot of Ped Onc's and I find this highly unusual. I'm going to want to see evidence and/or a confession.
this is a very odd story. Onc's are usually fairly grounded and reserved by nature. |

They can justify it in their minds. That's how they were able to overcome any aversions or guilt they might have had because of their particular sexual trigger. So in reality, most of them don't possess the HONOR/DIGNITY to kill themselves after the bright lights are shined on their crimes. I would kill myself if I ever committed pedophilic acts. But I'm not a pedophile... so naturally I'd feel that way. In short, the sicker you are... the less sick you actually believe you are. Works that way with schizos and liberals too. |

The story doesn't mention the specifics of the case (not surprising) but it could have gone a couple of different ways: 1. Dude uses work computer and network to go looking for CP on various websites or sharing networks like limewire, emule, etc. Tech person sees it, notes who the guy is, calls the cops who call the feds or a taskforce. 2. Dude is hunting for CP through personal communication like IRC chat rooms, forums, etc, and ends up coming across a FeeBee posing as a fellow trader. I'm going to guess it's more number 2 than number 1 based on the few facts in the writeup. |

Original content usually = ongoing predation of victims. ...which might be a clue as to why the feds actually conducted the raid. If someone on one of the taskforces caught the guy trading and identified the pictures he was offering up as unique, they'd move on that FAST and hard. Note that those arrested in these cases typically have images and videos on their computers when they are seized. That doesn't happen by accident. View Quote How one comes in contact with it matters. You can come across it entirely by accident if you go to some of the more poorly run places on the net. Even on some of the good ones. Somebody could stuff CP in a thread here on ARFCOM and people who had no desire to see anything like that can end up with it on their machines in their cache. Downloading it is an illegal act in and of itself. If you use a couple of popular search terms google will light up with links to filesharing sites, with at least a significant chunk of the downloads being the real deal. As an example, I mentioned Vicky videos (the most common series of CP videos out there) in a previous thread and just googled the name of the victim from those videos and I got dozens of search results for links to download the videos. I actually warned people on ARFCOM not to click on anything but a specific series of links once I made the discovery. So you can encounter it accidentally...but the sorts of people who want to fuck little kids are compulsive in their behavior. They don't just have an image or two...they tend to accumulate a sizable stash over an extended period of time. It's entirely possible for someone to get prosecuted over one item (just ask the guy the feds tried to prosecute for Little Lupe videos...a legal adult performer who just looked really young. That was one fucking sloppy case) generally speaking these sorts of efforts usually have a pattern of behavior at the center of them. If my theory about some sort of direct trading with the feds is true, then they probably didn't pounce on the first trade or contact. They probably built some sort of relationship with multiple trades over a period of time. Unless, of course, he sent them a picture that they hadn't fingerprinted before...which is always going to produce a pretty massive response because it often means access to a victim. |

There are so many multi-jurisdictional taskforce assets out there that work on child victimization you could see the FBI, the USMS, a local LE agency, and some Postal Inspectors serving a warrant on something that the local department turned up off of a tip. Of course, the FeeBees have a huge budget and their own resources and like to do a lot of things in-house, too... So there's no telling without knowing a lot more about the investigation. |

And if anyone were to properly have exposed pictures of such, this could be one of those occupations. I don't know either way..........................but I have learned to take what the press says with a very big grain of salt. Quoted:
I never understood pedophilia. I mean, how can one get turned on by some pre-pubescent girl when you have women like this walking around: ........ Do you want to go into the theories? Briefly: Control, Idolization, Capture of Innocence. Control in that a younger person doesn't have the maturity to asset their own will. Idolization in that a younger person can adore the older person, can be taught to adore the older person. Capture of Innocence is an interesting one......because many men appear to do it naturally. The child is innocent, unknowing about the ways of the world, and that is a very powerful thing to possess or steal. Such in a way is what drives Penthouse magazine photography where the viewer is invading on her world, stealing (by seeing) the inner domain she feels as precious. And by the by, this psychology of photography is also what propels "Olympia" (nude painting); it's a technique that's been known since at least the 19th century. Further, there are similar lines of thought, about the man having the women around him as children, in professional ballet, perhaps gymnastics. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________ ("What we need is something to discredit him. If he could be deported to Cygnus Alpha.... Doctor, am I right in thinking you can create experiences, implant them into a subject, who will then believe that they really happened?"--Alta Morag "Of course. In fact, creating an illusion of reality is quite simple." "Good. Then I think we can totally destroy Blake's credibility and get him sentenced.", (w,stte), Blakes 7, "The Way Back") |
