On 09-11-01?

I remember the initial estimates were a highly exaggerated 50,000+

I believe the final corrected total, including the pentegon & 3 airliners, is around 2,500.

Plus the number was recently adjusted down when two guys turned up who had been erroniosly listed as dead.

Anyone have the current official count?

I'm curious also, as I haven't heard much about this recently.

The number for WTC alone was, I believe, over 2,800.  I think the total with the Pentagon, WTC, and all 4 aircraft was over 3,000.

Might I suggest a Google search?

Edited to add - the official total for WTC is 2,801.

My understanding is:
Appx 2800 in NYC.
Appx 190  in DC.
Appx 93   in Penn.

I could be off by a few in each locale, but looks like a total of 3100 or so.

On our end, far far too many.

On their end, not nearly enough yet!

3,115 is the total I have heard mentioned a few times lately.

NYC: 2,801
DC: 188
Flt 93: I don't know

The NYC and DC numbers have been reported repeatedly, so I'm confident they're accurate.

One grand total I read was 3,084.

But in a nutshell, about 3,000 too many!

I do not wish in any way to detract from the tragic loss.  It stands by itself in memory.  But, how come there isn't as much of a fuss about the MIA's?  There are that many from Viet Nam alone.  Could it be there is business opportunity deriving this current group, but no opportunity to capitalize on those who have been forgotten by so many?  Or, opportunity gained by forgetting?

NEVER LET THEM BE FORGOTTEN.

More than Pearl. 3065 too many. The 19 bastards that took the other 3065 should have died at birth. Screw them and the piece of shit that spawned them.
