Just wondering. It might be tolerable as a comedy but as a drama/love story?

Me it was soo f---'ing cool

I'd Imagine that a movie about a couple of gay cowboys is going to get a less than enthusiastic reception from the ARFCOM crowd.

Try IMing Stonerstudent, maybe he can give you a review

Spoogeback Mountain ?
Not if they paid me to go.
Link Posted: 1/5/2006 8:06:07 PM EDT
Who would admit it here if they did go see it?

I thought we were calling it Bareback Mountain?

Even if for some reason I thought the film had any merit whatsoever (which I don't) the thought of sitting in a dark theatre with a hundred or so backdoor-banging reacharound-cowboys makes my skin crawl.

Call me a homophobe, but I can't even imagine doing something like that.

You might want to ask that guy that sings showtunes.

And the Texas couple....theredgoat and his buddy whatshisname.

That gives me a flashback to college when I went with a few of my fraternity bros and our girlfriends to see a concerty at the Orpheum in Boston. Band was Erasure, very hot at the time. When we got inside, it became very obvious that the band and 90% or greater of the crowd was flaming homosexual. Quite a cultural shock for us Texans and midwesterners.

Does it suprise anyone that the commercials are listing all the "critical acclaim" and "award nominations" it has gotten for being "groundbreaking"?

Wasn't "Alexander" the homsexual historical movie?

Next will be the homosexual war movie.

then the homosexual cop "buddy" movie.

then the homosexual alien sci-fi movie.

then the homosexual horror movie.

then the homosexual suburban teen comedy movie.

then the homosexual urban rap gangsta movie... and then it will stop cause the urban rap gangsta's will rise up and protest the movie and start killing movie execs!

So you're saying it's not a cowboy movie, but a sheepboy movie? Guess that makes sense.

Here'a little diaglogue from the movie:

Roy "I am sure tired of having my way with them sheep."

Bob "Me too"

Roy "Why don't you come over here and cuddle by the campfire...."

Imagine that, sheepherders!

And let me guess, they found out they were gay when they started "helping the sheep over the fence".

I would not watch them in a box.
I would not watch them with a fox.
I would not watch them in a house.
I would not watch them with a mouse.
I would not watch them here or there.
I would not watch them anywhere.
I do not like man on man.
I do not like them, Sam-I-am.

I probably won't go see it in a theatre, but I'd watch it. Enough people say it is a well made film for me to give it a try. I'll wait to see it on HBO.

If its a bad movie, I can always change the channel.

These things are frowned upon as well. You can't pick and choose.

I'm pretty sure perversion in general is wrong.
Homosexual sex is perverted, therefore it is wrong.
I do not know what "SIIHPAPP" is.
Group sex is perverted, therefore it is wrong.

I'm sorry my moral beliefs classify me as a stereotype of a "knuckle dragging, homophobic redneck" I suppose there isn't much I can do about that, except not see a movie that glamourizes and extolls the virtues of perversion.
