No reason to bring race into this.  It's just that anyone that listens to the same song over and over clearly has mental issues.

The rule at our house is the driver controls the music.

If my wife is flipping through the stations and passes a metallica song, she instinctively knows her surfing has met a brick wall.

She likes them though.

Now If I could just do that for the TV.

She will be flipping through channels and pass up fighter jets, army stuff, science and nature specials.

WTF!!!

My wife and kids give me the look when I do that in the car.  I have an easy out.  I have a daughter who couldn't be quite for 3 minutes to save her life (She is 15).  I tell them I just want to hear the song uninterupted one time.  Every time she talks, I start it over.  We can go on quite awhile listening to the first 40 seconds of one song.  I wish they made something like a DVR for car radios.  I also find myself backing up on a lot of TV shows......

Oh yes. I have a problem with OCD, and it manifests itself with music in a big way.

I can burn you out on a good cd in a hearbeat......

I have one the same age.  I finally solved it by pulling the middle seats from the minivan and putting the kids all the way in the back.  They can have their conversation and the wife and I can have ours without constant interruption.
