Not gun related, but it'd blow your mind how often long-time nursing professionals will ask to have records edited or deleted without supplying the date of contact, time of contact, or the name of the patient.

Every time you try to make a process idiot proof, you find yourself faced with a better class of idiot.

so? what's the problem?

give him back some spent brass and the scope tell him it's dead-on accurate.

and a $50 invoice for your time.

Hand him empty casings, say it's sighted in but you can't find the bullets you sighted it to, charge him $50 for this service.

edit: didn't see the same thing posted above.

I'm finishing up a car project like that.

To start, it's an obscure car, with no technical data available. Then, In addition to not bringing me all the parts, he threw in other parts from other cars that were lying around his garage, because he wasn't sure what belonged to what.

I get those too, but I call them "Pile O' Parts"

Usually made by the boyfriend or 16 year old son.  Husbands are at least too lazy to try.

Me - "So, the washer/dryer was doing/not doing what again?"

Customer - "Not working right."

Me - "So where's the washer/dryer?"

Customer - "Over here, oh my BF/Son thought he could fix it."

Me -

Yeah I dealt with a guy in Central Point. Jays FIrearms or something like that, I also dealt with a gunsmith around there. I guess the only couple of other smiths I know down in that area is Welburn, the bullet shop, good guys, and CSA lol.
