I used to get the "oriental"  flavored ones and add a bunch of tobasco.  And I didn't even like tobasco at the time!

Felt good on the 'ol sinuses though.

Yeah, I dig 'em - I like Beef, Roast Beef, Roast Chicken, Creamy Chicken, and Pork - and usually add some chopped onion, black pepper, and a bit of Louisiana Supreme hot sauce - and maybe some chunks of leftover meat - makes a nice hot lunch for less than a quarter...

I can't stand the Maruchan stuff. It's like all the stuff that didn't pass QC at the ramen plant gets packaged and sold to white people.

Get thee to an asian supermarket!

Lemme get this straight, you make up some ramen soup, that already has enough sodium in it to give a horse a heart attack... and then you add more salt?

Sounds good to me

It's like eating salt by the spoon full, with all the sodium in that crap.  No nutritional value whatsoever.

Beat me to it.

If anything, add a teaspoon of soy sauce to it.  And only use half the flavor packet.

There is no doubt they have no nutritional value, but I admit, I do like them.  Use LOTS of pepper.  Nothing wrong with admitting you like an .18 cent meal.

I never did get the whole Ramen thing for budget food.

When times were tough I would sustain myself on pinto beans and (if I was lucky) tortillas.

I use the noodles as an ingredient in meals sometimes, but that flavor packet goes in the trash.  It's mostly table salt anyway.

Put the noodle block in a foil pouch with a fish fillet and some chopped veggies and a little rice vinegar, soy sauce, and water, and steam it for about 15-20 minutes at 375-400.

YUM.

I used to really like them. Of course my wife would add some canned chicken breast and maybe some frozen vegetables to fill it out a bit...

We pretty much stopped eating them when we started making more money though.

I prefer Cup-O-Noodles over Ramen noodles

With Ramen I tend to add other things like Corn, carrots, a little more chicken broth... maybe I'll try onions when I get home.

But I still prefer Cup-O-Noodles over Ramen.

Since I am laid off right now I am eating Ramen noodles on a very regular basis.  In fact I just got done with a bowl of chili flavored ramen and 2 slices of toast for my lunch.  When I get back to work I will eat "good" food again.

Seldom use the packets.

Usually mix them with 1/4 cup cheese, or grilled veggies.
