Whats the story? I didnt know S&W EVER had a lawsuit or court activites until seeing posts here referring to it.

I believe what happened was that Smith and Wesson was sold to American buyers. They then explained to the court that if they complied with the agreement, they would be out of business. That was the original intent of the Klintons anyway. After that, I think they were released from the deal and are now recovering. If I'm not mistaken, the lawsuit sellout was made when the company was owned by a British corporation.

A popular strategy of the Klintons was to litigate gun makers and dealers out of business with nuisance lawsuits. They didn't need to win because they could stay in court as long as it took the gun makers money to run out. Very few dealers have the kind of money it takes to go to court with the Federal government.

Justice costs money. It's that simple.
