What's the wait like these days? 4,5,6, 7 months?
Link Posted: 6/20/2016 10:40:38 PM EDT

What date? Mine was in on 17 Feb. I'm pretty excited about my Hybrid but I fear it won't be done until end of August.

A friend's Saker Form 4 was sent in 1st week of January and just recently approved so figure July/August.
Link Posted: 6/20/2016 10:42:21 PM EDT
It's not my first...but damn; you guys are really thinking 6-7 months. Ick!

Capitol Armory is getting stamps back from forms filed in December.
Link Posted: 6/20/2016 10:44:58 PM EDT
I sent in a Form 4 (Individual) for a suppressor on 1/18/16 and it was approved 6/16. Haven't gotten the paperwork back yet.
Link Posted: 6/20/2016 10:45:59 PM EDT
Better than waiting for a year for ATF to tell the dealer "We never got the paperwork." An entire fucking year pissed away and then we had to re-file.

But the check got cashed even though the paperwork was lost.

Going on 15 months.

My longest wait was 19 months back in the 90's for a MG. That was fun. I had damn near forgotten about it until the stamp arrived.
Link Posted: 6/20/2016 10:49:59 PM EDT
Idk, but I got my first denial today on a form 1.

Apparently, even though it's in their own drop down menu, "ar15n4556 is not an approved model for noveske. So instead of being able to correct it, I had to file all over again. And wait 4 weeks for my refund. And it was electronic. Worthless agency is worthless.

Called on my for 1 that I submitted 2/19. Was told 5 months min

you need to sacrifice some chickens to get the result you seek.

I kind of want to file the paperwork to form 1 a full-auto capable 9mm can. Dunno when I'd get around to building it, but I'd like to have the stamp now.

4.5

Put one in on New Years Eve, and it came back mid May.

I just bought 2 suppressors early this month, With any luck I might see them sometime next year.

I think our Form 4s are taking about 6 months.

Man that really sucks. The wait would drive me insane
Link Posted: 6/20/2016 10:56:59 PM EDT
I sent one on a trust Jan 1. Picked up at dealer May 10th.
Link Posted: 6/20/2016 10:57:55 PM EDT
Mine just took 10 months
Link Posted: 6/20/2016 10:58:20 PM EDT
My form 4 for a suppressor went off from Capitol Armory in December of last year.

Guess maybe I should call about it or something. Honestly, I forgot all about it until this thread.

So traditionally, are Form 1's longer?
Link Posted: 6/20/2016 10:59:54 PM EDT
lol, nothing makes me feel more like I'm living in bizzarro world where the Soviets won the cold war and conquered the USA than waiting on NFA paperwork.
Link Posted: 6/20/2016 11:00:23 PM EDT
I have a can filed in early February, an SBR in early March, and another can in April filed. The 2 cans are at the local gun shop waiting for the stamps. The SBR lower is built and engraved and just waiting on the stamp as well.

It's best just to forget about them.

I remember the days when a corp F4 took a month.
Link Posted: 6/20/2016 11:01:28 PM EDT
LGS told me a week ago that a guy filed 3 form 4s on Jan 7th, got paperwork back on June 7th... 6 months to the day. Jan 7th was the day after Obama's speach, so I think wait times are going to increase to 8 months. I have March and June stamps pending :(
Link Posted: 6/20/2016 11:02:43 PM EDT
Sent or check cashed? My check was cashed middle of January and I just got to pick it up on Saturday.
Link Posted: 6/20/2016 11:03:43 PM EDT
Form 3 is what sucked this time. I bought on black Friday, they didnt get the form 4 check cashed until March 15th.

The concensus that I saw was 4 months for a form 1 and 6 months for a form 4. Efiling probably helps.

My last one went pending December 17th. Was approved June 3rd and my dealer received it the 17th. So exactly 6 months for me.

Can someone explain to me how the approval process timeline works? The disapproved form 1 I got today was filed less than 3 weeks ago. What takes place in between when they review the application, and when it is approved? Seems like a long stretch. Is this time in between spent on the background check/reviewing the trust?

Watch the ATF tracker sites to give you a better idea.

If you decide to call the ATF to check the status, have the serial number ready, otherwise they won't give you any info.

I got two stamps last week. One from late December and one from mid January.
