Heard some rumours my ex was cheating on me with some married guy.  Held a psitol to my head.  Couldn't pull the trigger because of my friends.  SHe said nothing happened but they did go to the beach late one night and 'talked'.  This happened a week after she broke up with me.  Some of you are familiar with my story.

It was good. It was my first full week in college, I ordered a brand new Magpul stock for $169, and I got $65 from a job I quit over a month ago.

Week went by fast.

Finished it up with a half day off work. Took a trip to Sportsmans Guide and picked up some XM193 and 8mm.

Spent the night watching crappy preseason football while getting blisters loading mags.

tour is winding down.

we have a trainee and the guy is both smart and motivated, which means a LOT less work.

Going home means back to the salt mines. I've got more concrete work to do when I arrive.

We're working back-to-back loads, though, so there's not too muc room to breathe, lot's of catch as catch can on the maitainance dept.

the week was great, considering it was my last week of r%r and i head back to iraq on saturday. spent quality time with my wife being the husband i should be, shot alot with my friends, built the wife a custom carbine. took my reup money and bought a chevy tahoe. brought 4 new converts to the world of the black rifle, and generaly spent a lot of money making myself and family and friends happy.  money comes and goes, but make people happy when you can.

all in all its been good, with the only downside my pending trip back to the war.

It was ok, but after I left work on tuesday night I started feeling un-well.

I went straight to school; I am usually starving by this time, but I could hardly finish my sandwich on the drive to class. Couldn't even bring myself to finish my soda.

When I got to class (Wildlife Biology) I had a headache. And nausea. And the bright sunlight hurt my eyes. I had to keep my head upright, or I would feel really bad. I was sweating big time, but my forehead was very cold. Couldn't even talk to my friends. The instructor noticed and told me to go home after the quiz.

After I took the quiz, I decided to pack it in and go home; this is the only time I have ever left a class early.

As soon as I drove out of the parking lot, my mouth started to fill with saliva. This could only mean one thing...I pulled to the side of the road, staggered out of my car, and barfed into the nearest bushes. I probably put on quite a show for the passing cars. A sad waste of a damn fine turkey sandwich. The rest of the drive home was uneventful.

I got home at 7pm and went straight to the couch for a nap. Got up at 9:30pm and felt just fine. In fact I even got in a workout before bed.

Curse the Fates that bind me to this strange land.

Exceptional week.

Miz LWilde, Yours Truly and our two small ones are on vacation...in Kalifornistan.  We visited all of our crazy liberal kin, checked out the old high school, my old homestead, my folks grave site, played on the beach and in hotel pools and did two days of Disneyland/California Adventure.

We hadn't been to Disney since about 1995 and the changes are really something.

This is our first vacation in over ten years.  I've only made four calls to my customers and colleagues and I'm more relaxed than I've been in years.  I'll bet my BP has dropped ten points!

The five year old 100% ALL BOY went nuts over The Tower of Terror ride (Hurt my back!) (Damn that kid is going to be a great Marine ).  While most of the riders were screaming in sheer terror, he was yelling and laughing like a maniac!  The pic they take shows him with a huge grin.  He also liked Star Tours, Indiana Jones, and Pirates of the Caribbean.  His seven year old sis wasn't too hip on some of the rides...but she REALLY loved meeting the "Princesses" (So did The "Old Man" too .  We did the parade and Fantasmic and in general had a ball.  By the end of day two, I felt as if we'd been on a thirty mile forced march.  Sleep came REAL easily that night.

The BEST-NO-SHIT-MOST-WONDERFUL-AMAZING attraction is the Soaring Over California ride.  There are simply no words to describe it...none.  Superlatives don't do it justice.  To understand, you MUST go on the "ride".  Miz LWilde sat it out at first...watching our daughter's baby.  I prevailed upon her to join me and the kids for another "flight".  She was stunned as we were the first time...and then the second as well.

Just DO IT!  You won't be sorry.

Then we went up to Morro Bay and drove down the coast.  Weather has been great too.

So far, this has been a great week even if we are in this goofy state.

Funny...I've felt strangely nekkid all week though...  Even My missus commented on that feeling too...

I had a Very reasonable week.
Monday I went to the range and had reasonable groups out to 400 yards.
Tuesday I caught up on sleep.
Wednesday I went back to work.  12 ½ hour shifts with a 25 mile commute to and from work.
Thursday.  Got off work, slept until 2:00.  Got up and checked the mail.  Ate something.  Then I went back to sleep until 5:30.  Ate a quick sandwich and left for work at 6:00.
Friday.  Got off work, slept until 3:30.  Got up and checked the mail.  Ate something.  Then I went back to sleep until 5:30.  Ate a quick sandwich and left for work at 6:00.

Saturday.  I’m heading for the Range around 8:30-9:00.  I’ll be shooting Miss Emma on straight Semi.  600 rounds have been set aside for the grins and giggles I’ll be making later.
Sunday I’m going to be a Good Little Boy and take my Mother to Atlantic City.  We will be back later that evening.
Monday I’ll be shooting my PPS.  Whether or not I’ll be using pictures of the Casino we’re heading towards as targets I don’t know just yet.

Remember sgtar15, you asked.

Still fighting my flu.  Only have a nagging cough now.

Last Saturday went to  Bass Pro Shop.  Didn't get any Winchester 5.56 ammo.  They were all out.  No rain checks.  Did pick up 1,000 round of Winchester 9mm ammo.

Worked my long week (four days, 11.5 hrs each).  Followed my partner around while he arrested everyone under the moon.  (We work nights).  Did a couple myself.  Only people that deserved going.

Still getting ready for the vacation to Chicago and Lancaster, Pa.  Leaving on the 3rd of Sept..  Wanted to leave on the 2nd but can't get out of court.  That sucks.

Bigfeet contacted me and asked if he could pick-up some 5.56 ammo from Bass Pro Shop for me.   He got me a rain check for 2,000 rounds.  A+1 for Bigfeet.  Thanks Bigfeet.

Going riding the ol' Harley today.  Going to breakfest with by motorcycle buddies.  Maybe one of them will buy.  Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

That's about it.  I'll get back with you if I remember anything else.

Well lets see,  I will start with the bad.

My brand spankin new Mazda RX8 was run over by a semi in a parking lot, smashed flat, I hadn't even made a payment yet.  So I had to go pull my 95 ford escort off the post lemon lot and drive that, it was broken into outside my apartment.  The airforce dropped me into the trees on my first jump in 3 years.  I found out last night that I dont have a four day weekend next week so my vacation plans are trashed.  I got poison oak on my junk

Now with the good.
I was not in the car when it was run over.  The truck drivers insurance company settled within days.  So I have ALL my money back (tax, title, etc) plus a couple extra thousand as a pain in the ass compensation.  I now drive a car that gets 35 MPG instead of 20 (even though it isnt as flashy and fun to drive).  The theif jimmied the lock instead of breaking a window and only got away with a few bucks in change, my cell phone charger, and a discman that didnt work.  I wasnt hurt when I landed in the trees.  I am no longer a 5 jump chump.  And my brother is now coming to see me instead of me driving to see him.  The medicine I was given made the poison oak go away

All in all it could have been a REALLY crummy week with lots of opportunity for death/serious injury and all I got was a little itch and some cash for a new firearm.

Drew

Why not?

Monday - Wake at 05:00, drive to Richmond, and have job interview.
Monday PM - Find out suit worked. ;) Job will be offered to me.
Tuesday - Meeting in the AM. Normal day (Didn't get crap done.) Get confirmation from hiring manager. Wait for call from HR.
Wednesday - Wait for call from HR. Load up two DL380s with Server 2003.
Thursday - Wait for call from HR. Finish up some more stuff, pending my transfer. Go run trains at club.
Friday - Take day off work. Paint kilz and clean. Clean some more. Periodically check voicemail and email for call from HR.
Saturday - Clean more. Trim yard and fix fence. Looks nice. Clean more. Have dinner. Post to ARF. (Noteworthy since I don't it much.)

Oh yeah, the only bad thing was having to cut brick for free (donated time) this morning instead of shooting with the Oregon Arfcommers.

Long week.

On the minus side, The Neutral Observer:

Worked 14 hour days M-Th.
Worked 16 hour days Fri-Sat.
Got about 2 hours of sleep a night (less Fri night).
Is burdened with very stressful deadlines and such.
's wife is growing larger, lazier, and angrier by the day.
Was in a foul mood all week.
Was sick Thursday and Friday.
Has to do it all again starting Monday.

On the plus side, The Neutral Observer:

Had ar-15.com open in the background much of the time.
Heard several extremely interesting stories this week.
Got some very significant work done this week.
Will hopefully get some recognition for said work.
Gets to sleep all day Sunday (and woe to the son of a bitch who wakes Him up! WOE!  Those motherfuckers; this telephone is being unplugged tonight.).
