The Arsenal of Democracy willing to help those who yearn to breath free. Especially those suffering under the yoke of communism.
So where were we in 1989 during Tiananmen Square?

Where were we when TRUE PATRIOTS did what we only talk about. In 1989 unarmed men and women faced a tyranical, oppressive government who moved FIRST with a military response.
Where were we?
We seem to have zero problem sending unreal amounts of aid and arms to any country on "our list" of buddies but leave a lot of deserving people out in the cold with little more than a "ain't that a shame."
The 1989 Chinese uprising was popular and on the heels of the fall of communism in Eastern Europe and soon after the Soviet Union itself. Our intervention and or assistance could have toppled a genuine communist threat to the US that remains today.
A rescued China would be very favorable to the US, as they were in WW2 with the AVG fighter groups. Why didn't we help?
