I went to the range to put 100 rounds through my new Kimber today and had a great time. No malfunctions and had the place to myself.

Right after I finished up I went for the broom to sweep up my brass and the range guy appeared out of nowhere with a broom in his hand, saying "Don't worry I got it"...he was really Johnny on the spot. Like he was waiting.

I don't reload, but clearly he does. I was actually going to keep my brass this time as I just might start reloading in the near future, but this guy's enthusiasm was too much. Was he just trying to be helpful? Maybe.

Anyhoo, what kind of monetary value would 100 once fired Winchester white box .45 ACP cases have to a person who reloads? At this point I'm curious.

Thanks.

I'd have told him to piss off if he didn't ask you first.

I think it is a joke considering Winchester white box is ~$34/100 at Walmart.
.45 is $45. 9mm is $9. 50bmg is $50.

My local range collects ALL left behind brass and sells it to a reloader by the drum.

I admit I've dug in the trash for brass

.45 isn't worth that much, but if you plan on shooting a lot of it, the cases will be worth more over the years. Since its a low pressure round they will never wear out ..............

Wow, that's almost enough ammo to actually learn something.

There's a guy that picks up all the brass at our local range and I was paying him $50/1000 for all pistol calibers, up until he got busted for manufacturing meth last month....

That's not that bad. At the rifle range if a buddy and me have the place to ourselves we will pick up the grates and pick brass out from under it.
