Pretty much SOP for most insurance company's.  

They want to see a well maintained house, yard, neighborhood.  Its a sign of a good risk.

Never had to do that with insurance.  But its a good idea.

Great practice to protect your goods as well.

Just mow yard first and it will be fine.  

I used to go through Collectibles Insurance Corp. for my *collection* policy.  They had good service and rates for a replacement value policy.
