Very light dusting this morning but nothng stuck. Currently chilly and overcast but it's supposed to warm up this afternoon/evening. Still waiting to see what happens with the "monster storm" that's supposed to hit tomorrow.

Standing by for the absolute carnage that will happen on the highways.

At least it's a weekend.  You guys from the snow belt would die laughing at how drivers in the Seattle area react to snow.

We've got 6 to 12 inches forecasted for Sunday night into Monday, which will be our first real storm this year. We had a storm that dropped about an inch before Thanksgiving, but since then it's just been flipping cold!

Was blinded in a white out yesterday when a bolt of lightning flew past the driver's side window, about 7 feet from my face. Then I did a perfect (unintentional) 180 going down a hill. Thank God there was nobody in the other lane.

Rained all night. Started to snow around 7:00 this morning, then it warmed up and started raining. Been raining off and on all day long. Cold too. Probably about 35° or so. Supposed to rain/snow all night tonight too. Should be good and icy this evening after the sun goes down.

We were supposed to get an inch or so of ice, but it's currently upper 30's with rain/drizzle. We'll see how slick it gets when the sun goes down. The roads should be okay since the city was bracing for a big storm.

28 at the moment. We're supposed to get some snow here in a bit today. Then tonight, it's going to warm up a smidge and it'll turn to freezing rain. It'll be above freezing for the next two days, so I don't expect any accumulation. That said, my county is supposed to get a good winter thrashing of sleet, ice, and everything but snow for the next couple of days.

Miserable weather, and no payoff.

Snowing now. It's starting to accumulate a little. Also - the tires on my Jeep suck ass. The drive home from Wal Mart was uh...entertaining.

Time to price some Blizzaks.

NE Wyoming.  A couple of inches on the ground, a couple more expected.  It's cold though and windy.

Of course, it's supposed to be in the mid-50's by next Tuesday.

If there's one thing I don't miss about living in the Cleveland area, it's lake effect snow. Heavy, wet, greasy "my day is fucking ruined" from the sky.

There's lots of snow on the ground now. The roads aren't plowed, salted, or anything.

And with that, I'm going to be an asshole and order up pizza for delivery. I'm hungry, and you know what? That's just funny.

I wrecked my wife's car avoiding a 5 car pileup in the snow tonight. Hit the guardrail because the soccermom in front of me locked her brakes in her SUV, hit a car, and bounced into my lane.

And it started out such a nice day.

Remember, the weather in the land "down under," is exactly opposite of the weather north of the equator.  The Aussie are experiencing summer right now.  Remember, get your swimming pools in before Christmas.

In Los Angeles Calif, it's 55ºF and cloudy.  We just had about 1"-2", I am in the San Gabriel Valley(10 miles east of L.A.) about 1" of rain.

Started out as snow today, then to sleet, then to freezing rain and finally to a bit of rain. Went a low in the 20's to about 42 right now. Very little snow and about 1/4" ice. A buddy 25 miles west got 3/4" of ice.

"Very" cold?

psh. Merced's expected low is 30. From what I can tell, we're nearly there already.

and yes, I'm "from" socal before I'm "from" Merced, so I know what the perception is for "very" cold down there. Anything under 60 or so and--Katy, bar the door--pull out the parkas and snowpants, the S has HTF

I'm actually wearing a parka right now.

S only hits the fan if you have to drive on the freeways here during the rain. An accident every 3 miles.
