Western Wa, state is getting it. More coming.
Hows it where you guys are? |
Very light dusting this morning but nothng stuck. Currently chilly and overcast but it's supposed to warm up this afternoon/evening. Still waiting to see what happens with the "monster storm" that's supposed to hit tomorrow.
ETA: This is in NW Oregon. Yamhill Co. |
Standing by for the absolute carnage that will happen on the highways.
At least it's a weekend. You guys from the snow belt would die laughing at how drivers in the Seattle area react to snow. |
We've got 6 to 12 inches forecasted for Sunday night into Monday, which will be our first real storm this year. We had a storm that dropped about an inch before Thanksgiving, but since then it's just been flipping cold!
Was blinded in a white out yesterday when a bolt of lightning flew past the driver's side window, about 7 feet from my face. Then I did a perfect (unintentional) 180 going down a hill. Thank God there was nobody in the other lane.
Rained all night. Started to snow around 7:00 this morning, then it warmed up and started raining. Been raining off and on all day long. Cold too. Probably about 35° or so. Supposed to rain/snow all night tonight too. Should be good and icy this evening after the sun goes down.
We were supposed to get an inch or so of ice, but it's currently upper 30's with rain/drizzle. We'll see how slick it gets when the sun goes down. The roads should be okay since the city was bracing for a big storm.
82 and nice here just south of Tampa, I have not been north of Brooksville in 12 years since I went to West Vir. at Snowshoe Mt.
I have been south to Costa Rica four times I was a kid in the Smokey Mts. in Tenn. That was plenty of snow |
in the 50's here. i would like some snow, maybe just 1 foot.
31 and sleeting at the moment. Temps to rise over night with rain and thunderstorms for Sunday. Good day for the range.
28 at the moment. We're supposed to get some snow here in a bit today. Then tonight, it's going to warm up a smidge and it'll turn to freezing rain. It'll be above freezing for the next two days, so I don't expect any accumulation. That said, my county is supposed to get a good winter thrashing of sleet, ice, and everything but snow for the next couple of days.
Miserable weather, and no payoff. |
we gettin one of them "Honeymoon Snowstorms" ya never know how many inches you'll get or how long it'll last.
The snow is coming down like crazy here. It may even stick, it's been pretty cold (well, for Seattle) the last few weeks.
I'm in Bellingham and its snowing again pretty good. Got about an inch and a half, blowing and cold.
It was supposed to slow a bit and start again tonight, but decided to keep on snowing. |
and a little snow, but right now freezing rain. Trees and power lines are getting coated and starting to droop. |
Snowing now. It's starting to accumulate a little. Also - the tires on my Jeep suck ass. The drive home from Wal Mart was uh...entertaining.
Time to price some Blizzaks. |
It would be nice to get some precipitation in western Nevada.

Central NM: mid-50s or so, rained last night so it's pretty damp, but clear skies right now.
Friggin hot....
never even seen snow...but i do know what its like to have sweat run down your back, pool up in your undies, and have to cock your leg to release the flow. |
NE Wyoming. A couple of inches on the ground, a couple more expected. It's cold though and windy.
Of course, it's supposed to be in the mid-50's by next Tuesday. |
Freezing rain tonight, snow late. Rain tomorrow.
Lake effect SHTF starting Monday. |
If there's one thing I don't miss about living in the Cleveland area, it's lake effect snow. Heavy, wet, greasy "my day is fucking ruined" from the sky. |
W're 66*F here in Aggieland!
I wish it were icy outside. Boring weather here. |
There's lots of snow on the ground now. The roads aren't plowed, salted, or anything.
And with that, I'm going to be an asshole and order up pizza for delivery. I'm hungry, and you know what? That's just funny. |
It was horrible here today, got down to like 70, geeezzzz I'm freezing.
8:10 pm it's 4 degrees out right now. Light snow.
Edit: 8:31 pm now it's 1.6 degrees |
It was nearly 72 degrees today by my truck temp gauge
Sorry, friend. I LIKE mild winters. |
Urban travel advisory for the greater San Antonio area is currently in effect - Heavy barbecue haze has reduced visibility in some parts of the city to less than 500 feet...
It's currently 65 Degrees, with overcast skies, no wind, just a calm cool breeze. We had about6 inches of snow last week though, and one day of ICE.
Had a quarter inch thich layer of ice covering my car when I got off from work.
Seems to be warming up a little bit now. |
Yeah, remember that next August when you step outside and it feels like someone greeted you at the door wiith a wet steaming wool blanket. |
In Los Angeles Calif, it's 55ºF and cloudy. We just had about 1"-2", I am in the San Gabriel Valley(10 miles east of L.A.) about 1" of rain. |
Started out as snow today, then to sleet, then to freezing rain and finally to a bit of rain. Went a low in the 20's to about 42 right now. Very little snow and about 1/4" ice. A buddy 25 miles west got 3/4" of ice.
What is this snow you speak of?
Oh wait it must be that 7 inches of ice crusted white shit outside my door. |
It rained all day yesterday, and is very cold today. (Its like 50 right now)
Snowed earlier but it didnt stick. Now its raining off and on, and the temp is rising...
"Very" cold? psh. Merced's expected low is 30. From what I can tell, we're nearly there already. and yes, I'm "from" socal before I'm "from" Merced, so I know what the perception is for "very" cold down there. Anything under 60 or so and--Katy, bar the door--pull out the parkas and snowpants, the S has HTF |
I'm actually wearing a parka right now. S only hits the fan if you have to drive on the freeways here during the rain. An accident every 3 miles. |
