Does anyone here eat this? Do you eat it plain or add it to something else?

I'm not fortunate enough to live in Louisiana or Mississippi where apparently you can get fresh oysters for cheap, so I need an oyster kick that I can get locally...

I can get them often times raw/living. I love them with a little lemon and some horseradish.

Fresh on the halfshell, when they're not poisoned by some sewage in the Chesapeake Bay.

I'd only eat them fresh, cuz thats the only way to know if they're putrid.

Cottonseed oil?   bleh.

On Ritz, Club, Town House or Chicken on a Bisket crackers.

Oh yeah, a cap full of cider vinegar puts a nice tang to the oil.

Vinegar and oil are always a good combo, it compliments the oysters nicely.

Oh how funny.

I just bought  2 multi packs of these at Costo this evening.

Try them with a very light dusting of Dillo Dust and a spritz of lemon juice / Ritz crackers...

I had mine with wine tonight.

And it's been over 10 years since I've had these.

When I make space in the can, I soak the crakers in the oil.

If you want FRESH oysters... you are gonna be disappointed.

They are a great snack.. I put a little salt on them,... cut some cheddar cheese, and get out the saltine crackers.

Yeah Man.  Smoked oysters plain or on crackers, damn good.  You may get swamp ass though the next day.

I just got back from the coast and finished off a dozen. I like to roast mine on the Q and eat 'em just like that. (Every other one....I'll sprinkle with hot sauce, but hate to cover the flavor too much). I love them salt-water bugs.
Oh, and beer.

ETA: Too much beer with your bugs  may seriously impair your ability in reading comprehension.

You made baby Jesus cry

And if you have to eat them out of a can/plastic bin, they ain't oysters.

Oysters must be shucked/shelled to be consumed.

the only acceptable way (other than straight from the shell) is on a saltine with cocktail sauce made with fresh horseradish

Love them.

Tapatio hot sauce on them and eat them with Garlic and Herb (or just plain) Triscuit crackers.

I eat them right from the tin usually. I also use them to stuff a pork loin along with chipotle peppers and goat cheese.

Yeah, I eat them, on crackers, right out of the can.  They are also good in soup, like ramen, or in turkey stuffing.  The ones packed in water are a little better, but neither are a substitute for fresh grilled oysters.
