Thinking it's dust inside the optic. Only fired a few rounds since mounted. I would like to get the hive's opinion/advice. It's not an Aimpoint or Eotech one, but I don't want to say the brand until I work it out with the manufacturer if it is a problem. The specs don't get in the way or anything, but I'm afraid they may get worse over time if it's not dust. Rally don't want to go through the hassle of returning it unless it's going to be a problem in the future. Thanks guys.

I've noticed my cheap Russian night vision scope has some black spots visable in it.

I read the manual..and it says that's normal..and it's 'particals' attracted to the whachamajigger inside...

Appears to be dirt to my eyes.

So you're saying it's not Tier 1?

Don't sound like a tier 1 optic....and my Rusky night vision scope is for sure not top notch.

My experiences with scopes that have stuff 'floating' around inside...pretty soon the crosshairs fall apart.

Let me guess, Leapers UTG?

Not uncommon. I believe they are pieces of the plastic inside the optic that were never cleaned out. It's not a bad optic for the money, but as you can see, the QC is lacking.

Not UTG. It's been fine except for that little problem. It's just a magnifier so there no worries about crosshairs falling out. If you guys don't think this is a condition that may get worse with time and that it will be ok, I'll probably keep it. I do plan on contacting the manufacturer about it to get their opinion. As always, thanks guys.

I've got a super cheap Airpoint clone magnifier and it doesn't have black specs.  Granted the glass looks like someone smeared vasoline on the front lens, but no black specs.

Depending on the price, i would be asking for a replacement or refund
