Dude, you broke the law, you were driving with an open container of beer.. you should be happy that he only called you "dude" and not "Sir Asswipe" closely follower with "You have the right to....."

In my Moms town there was a cop who was rude to everybody and waved his gun around a lot. He stopped the mayor one day and was such an ass the chief fired him. I know the mayor, he's a good guy, not the kind that would have a guy fired who didn't deserve it.

Sounds like he's just trying to push the attention off his illegal actions and onto the cop.

Hey, all he did was tint his windows too dark. It was his passenger that got busted for the open container. Cop cars (unmarked at least) have windows tinted too dark for civilians. I fucking hate double standards.

As the driver, he is responsible for what goes on in his vehicle. Allowing his passenger to have an open container is a violation. Cop should have cited the mayor for that one too.

What an ass - "dude" is not profanity, nor is it a racial slur or anything else. It's just a preference for addressing someone like "partner" I'd much rather be called "dude" than that really condescending way that some people can pronounce "SIR" so it sounds like "asshole" [;)]
