L.L. Bean has some really nice shearling slippers on sale now. With free shipping I think.
These slippers have heavy duty rubber type soles on them. |

LL Bean for the win. I've got a pair but never wear them. I don't even know where they are anymore.
Personally, I prefer my Crocs.  Seriously. They're great for going out on the porch for the paper or going out with the dogs. Mine are tactical black. |

I was never a slippers guy until my wife got me a pair years ago. I'm on pair #4 now- my little piggies are comfy and warm all the time now. I have the pair that comes up to the ankles. |

If you can find a pair of Timberland Power Loungers get them. Merino wool lined inside, can be worn outside. I've about worn my out.
