I just got a new wood stock for a 10/22 and it doesnt have a sling swivel stud in it. I want to put one in so that I can use a bi-pod. Where can I get a stud for this and how do they install, and not fall? Epoxy maybe? Oh yeah it is an unfinished stock that I am painting Desert Tan, so I can mess around with it without worryimg about the finish..
Thanks

Check Brownells, Midway, etc. for the parts.

The installation is pretty straightforward.  I wouldn't think you'd need to epoxy it in place.

Michaels of Oregon sells a kit for that.  Just drill a small hole and screw in the swivel.  That's how I did exactly what you want to do.

Yankee gave you the best places to shop.  The best way is to use a drill press to drill your hole, hand drill if your steady and can drill straight.  You may have to grind down the screw if its too long (can be a problem at the forend) so it doesn't bottom out on the barrel.  Drop of epoxy won't hurt, but not necessary.
