 in this documentary it seems they are all grouped together  i know that they all go for "white power", etc--but thats where similarity ends i thought that 'skinhead'=Neo Nazis and they did not like/respect the KKK and vice versa.... NN are more 'organized' and more 'educated' or so i was told once, true? i believe that everyone has a right to thier opinions and thier point of view....just as long as violence is avoided so this is NOT a flame or whatever-so pls dont turn it into one |

I'm watching it, and know several of the LEOs that were shown during the march. This shit didn't amount to anything more than a bean fart, this show is probably more than 10 years old, and there hasn't been a peep out of these shitheads since.

The only way I knew that, was Goody's ( the clothing store) was selling shirts that said varsity, and had 88 on it like a jersey, and people were offended. If it weren't for that I would have never given a second thought to 88 on a shirt.

The guys that were in jail, beat and stabbed a homless guy, who was asleep in an alley, they turned into very normal middle class kids, that were lead astray, when they went to court. This also shows that a kid growing up in a home, with his/her father abscent, is equally bad, whether black or white.

Skinheads were the original "wiggers". After the influx of West Indian immigrants settled in the urban centers of Britain in the 1950's and 60's, the local white kids, looking to piss off mum n dad, started to dress like the "Rude Boys" from Jamaica, and listen to Jamaican music like Ska, Rock Steady, and Reggae. In 1969, Reggae was associated more with Skinheads than any other demographic. In the early 70's, around 73, the British National Front, a pro Nazi, anti immigrant, anti-communist organization, began to recruit Skinhead street toughs using free beer, just like the Nazis in the 30's. Skinheads had gotten a violent reputation due to gang wars, Bank Holiday riots, and Soccer hooliganism, that was blown waaaaaaaay out of proportion by the British tabloid press. So once the NF began recruiting, again the tabloid press had a field day. Kind of like Oprah, Jenny Jones, Morton Downey Jr. and Geraldo did in the late 80's here. These jokers you see on these shows represent Skinheads about the same way Timothy McVeigh represents veterans. I know pilots, doctors, lawyers, businessmen, school teachers, chefs, musicians, and actors that are or were Skinheads. I know White, Jewish, Black, Bi-Racial, Hispanic, Christian, Muslim, Asian, Hindu, Wiccan, Asatruist, and Buddhist Skins, or former Skins. There are even Skinhead paramedics, police officers, SWAT Team members. The media has decided Skinheads are evil, so it MUST be true, right? RIGHT?

All three groups are distinctly different. While there is some cross-pollination between all three, you could say that about any group on the planet.
The term "skinhead" does not denote any political persuasion. "Neo-Nazi" of course, denotes affiliation with national socialist ideals (but many may just be homosexuals who like to dress up in those spiffy uniforms). "KKK" denotes affiliation with a combination of americanist politics, with a healthy dose of Southrun folkways and overt racial identity. The stereotype, however, is of a fat and ignorant idiot. I used to be fascinated with all of the above. It was kind of my hobby to know what they were up to. Not in necessarily either a hostile or sympathetic way, but rather like someone who walks through a zoo and observes all the animals. I was in attendance when Louis Beam gave his notorious "To Hell with the Federal Government" speech. I was also in his presence right after the OKC Bombing. One of my immediate supervisors about fifteen years ago was the son in law of perhaps the most well-known tax protesters in the country. He ended up in prison, soon after trying to recruit me. Had dinner with Bo Gritz during his '92 campaign. Even helped him load up his plane with gifts from well-wishers. They may be weird and profoundly offensive to some, but they are awfully fun to drink beer with.

While he would deny it, he would schmooze anybody if he thought he could get some support or adulation from them. That includes skinheads and neo-nazis (he was at one time David Duke's running mate). This was well before he became obsessed with a certain Linda Weigand; followed closely by his wife leaving him and his attempted suicide. Another little known bit of trivia: I personally witnessed the guy who played the leader of the outlaw biker gang in the Clint Eastwood movies rubbing shoulders with {nevermind....} Just remembered another little gem. The leader of the Jewish Defense League (Irv Rubin) was harassing a church group that I was with. Being one of the very few men "of military age" amongst the group, I went to go deal with him. He backed down immediately, probably because he didn't want to be arrested. Now, Irv Rubin was a fairly big fellow, and quite possibly could have stomped me good. He later committed suicide, while he was in prison for plotting a bombing/murder. He did "get me good", though. I was driving down the street just south of L.A., when the radio announcer said that "Police are looking for (GySgtD), for questioning in the Nicole Simpson/Ron Goldman murders. CNN called me asking for an interview shortly thereafter. My car was vandalized a couple days later. What I figured happened was that he simply noted the name on my "Hello, my name is.... and I'm from...." sticker that I wore during our little incident. I guess the JDL guys made up some tale to tell the police. Last time I checked, my name was still listed on an internet "Who's who in the OJ Simpson murder case". Those few years were definately some weird ones. |

I saw the commercial for that documentary a few days ago.
I knew it was nothing more than the left's attempt to divert the viewers attention to the much larger threat to the USA. (The so-called "Religon of Peace") I'd bet a lot of those 88's were actually undercover FBI/ATF agents.  I think it might make more sense for them to keep an eye on all the mosques here.I've lived in the south all my life, and I've never even seen someone with the Nazi/skinhead sterotypical look. The little son of a bitch that hacked up, and shot the 3 guys in the Mass, gay club, came down here and shot and killed Gassville, AR police officer Jim Sell and then his own passenger before offing himself. While I'm glad that he is dead, I wish Officer Sell was still alive. Anyway, he was a NN. There are several NN and Klan groups in North AR.

 Seriously though....these groups utter lack of success leads me to believe they are all full of shit. They dont promote racial purity, they promote chaos. If they were truly interested in keeping their race pure, they would put themselves in a socio-economic position to supress those which they profess to hate. Protests marches and violence do nothing...financial superiority is the only way to ensure a stronghold over another. These groups are large enough to harness their membership to start small businesses, generate income, and purchase political backing, even if only agreed to in private. Blacks, Indians, Asians, Eastern Europeans.....all these groups have done the same thing in America throughout our history of immigration. The Chinese and Italians set up their own neighborhoods....buying and selling goods amongst themselves. Black communities have made the same attempts. It's basic common sense. Yet, these hate groups seem to miss the point...if they want to promote white power...perhaps they should obtain some real power first. Weapons and muscles will never make them more powerful than finance and political backing. |

Indeed. I have never seen a 'skinhead'. I know quite a few people with former ties to the Klan, mostly from the '50s and '60s. The very few modern Klan I have met are total 'tards and I dont consider them a credible threat to anyone. |

I think I ran into three skinheads in downtown Athens GA. They were dressed like the kids are in this documentary except a little more 'punkish.' They demanded money as they saw us exit an ATM and I was sure they were about to swing as I was pretty much surrounded and they were acting all tough. I was with my wife and one of her female friends and figured I'll get my ass kicked and the girls will hopefully run. As the guy on Mythbusters says I thought I had a 70% chance of getting my ass kicked and walking away, a 25% chance of getting my ass kicked and ending up in the hospital, and a 5 % chance of us all getting away unscathed. The three skinheads backed down quickly and walked off calling me all sorts of names. I made sure to stay on well lit and populated streets the rest of the night. I about shat myself even though they ended up being wussy punks. I did tell two cops down the block but they didn't care.

Hey! Someone knows their history.  It's true! Original skinheads were mere working class kids who worked in factories. They couldn't afford nice clothes, so they went to Jamaican night clubs wearing their work clothes. Boots, pants that were often too big, so they had suspenders. I have a fair amount of Ska, and some of it makes reference to skinheads in a positive way. Desmond Decker had a song where he mentions skinheads right in the beginning of it. |
