Now the people to curl for fun... they generally have a flask on the handle of the broom. So when they get cold, they can warm up with a quick nip.
Now if they would allow that at the Olympics... big party curling and hurling!! |

Curling has always been my favorite winter sport (with biathlon as a close second).
I am so pleased with the amount of coverage of curling. Yesterday I must have watched about 4 hours of it as I "worked" at home. Woo-hoo. Go Denmark!!! |

Like most people probably did, I said "what the hell is that?!" when I saw it the first time. After watching it for a while yesterday, it looks like a really challenging sport Lots of strategy and skill involved.
I've also been watching a lot of the hockey that's been on. The US women's team whooped China's ass bad yesterday, 12-1. |

To my infinite disgrace, I actually watched a bit of the women’s curling yesterday. I’d probably have watched more if I’d had any clue what the rules were.
Seems to me that the team members that brush, scrub, or whatever they’re doing, in front of the moving stone are somehow cheating! Imagine if you tried that in golf. |
