Getting that stuff off of your skin is like getting the stink out of shit. Turned it black did it not? Had my ent use it on a vessel that was constantly bleeding in my nose. FUCK! THAT HURT!

I had a doctor use silver nitrate to close up a 3/8" hole in my knuckle skin. Felt bad man.

I had a nose bleed once at work ( in an ICU) so I decided to use one of those silver nitrate Q tips up my nose real good.
Hurt for a looong time |

I had an old school pediatrician who used silver nitrate to burn out strep throat.
It HURT (I once ripped the pocket off his shirt), but it worked. Sure, it felt like you throat was being cut by a dull chainsaw, but the next day...you felt GREAT. |

When I was a kid (age 10) I had to have my nose cauterized. Two q-tips up the nose and I sneezed none stop (even in my sleep) for a week and I had to scream into a pillow. Not fun at all!

I have a bottle of Kodak brand Silver Nitrate at work. I was going to bring it home but I don't want that shit anywhere near my septic system.
