Is there any human way to get a silencer in Missouri? I have looked on the net and it says C&R only, so is there no form of loops I can jump through to get one?

I think the only way to own a silencer in Missouri is to be a licensed class III dealer, military or in law enforcement.  I don't believe Missouri law allows the  private ownership of silencers or fully automatic weapons.

Shootist is correct.  I think that a class II manufacturer's license might do it as well.  The sad part is, in Kansas you can get suppressors but not full auto.  In Missouri you can get full auto as a private citizen, but they have to be loud.  Stupid state laws...

Are you sure about this?  If this is correct let me know how to go about aquiring a full auto weapon.  I've always wanted one, but did not know how to legally own one in Missouri.

You need a C&R FFL to legally posess full-auto,  All the regular BATF hassels apply but you need the C&R on top of that to own them.  My information is the weapons you own don't have to qualify for C&R status, but you just need the FFL to statisfy Missouri law.   It's like $30 and is the easiest part of the whole process as I understand it. Also applies to short-barrel rifles.

Thank's for the info, it looks like I will try for a C&R license soon.

Ok, so again to reitterate (because I am painfully slow).

I can get a NIB SWR Supressor for my HK USP9.

I must get an C&R FFL, then go through the normal Form 4 and such.

I can also SBR my Bushmaster with all the proper paperwork.

Also, is the age limit 23 or 21 on a silencer? (Im 21, and fear it may be 23)

Am I correct on all these counts?

Here's a good start on the C&R application process:

kaxter, you are correct on the SBR part, but I think you are still mistaken about the suppressor.  A C&R won't get you a suppressor, only a class III dealer's license or a class II manufacturer's license will.  I have a C&R and there's no way I can get a suppressor for my USP Tactical without becoming a full time machinegun dealer and basically making guns my entire life.

Yes, it has been tempting.

I can also SBR my Bushmaster with all the proper paperwork. YES, with the C&R license, CLEO signoff, $200 tax, etc.

Also, is the age limit 23 or 21 on a silencer? (Im 21, and fear it may be 23) I think it's 21, but it's a moot point since you can't have a suppressor in MO

Thanks for all the info guys, I really appreciate it. Looks like I am going to SBR my BM and try to be happy with that, lol. Also, I hope that the ORF RF 94 group buy goes through and I will SBR that as well, I would love that.

Its still not a suppressor though...*sniff*
