Carry the biggest gun you can conceal.

The average person is oblivious, and in time you'll not be so self conscious. I carry a USP 9.

i do it- and no one knows- i think....

i use a wilderness tactical belt and a CTAC holster- works well, it can tend to itch though if the grip texture is in contact with my skin at all.

Sure..why not? They're great guns.

the 226 is a big, blocky brick of a sidearm, and a bitch for CCW unless it's winter and you use a shoulder holster. Having said that, I CCW mine in a shoulder rig for most o f the winter. 15 rounds is VERY comforting.

When I carry it, it goes in a Bianchi model 100 holster. But the 228/229 is a bit more concealable, and you only lose two rounds, so I tend to just carry the 229R.

ETA: Ops, get yourself a few of the 'new' Mec-Gar mags. 17rd mags for the 226, 15 rd mags for the 228/229 (9mm).

I guess need to get a shoulder holster then, as it's hard to keep my britches up

Gun show next weekend, maybe I should look for one. Any suggestions?

Sig 226 is one of the pistols I carry year round. I don't think it is all that heavy nor large.

I carried one for +5 years in Seattle, 'course I'm 6'4" and 240 now 260. I carried mine in front of my right hip, usually. Concealed well for me.

Sigs are great guns and the P-226 is one of their best, IMO.

I've carried a 226 and a 220 before in a Galco Miami Classic- course my friend used to call me "Crockett" when I did. The 220 is a little easier to conceal since it's thinner.

sigs are shit! their barrels explode and they KB!

just kidding. tighten up that belt, and you will be GTG

My P226 is my house gun. Too much stuff on it for CCW. I usually carry one of my P220s'. Summer carry is my P228.

Not the easiest to conceal, but a QUALITY holster on a quality GUNBELT that fits the holster tight and you wont have much trouble making it disappear.
