Here is my setup for playing BF2, for now at least.

This is also my lan party machine, I take it to work (I work for an ISP) and play against the guys there, hooked right into our main switch.

The specs are -

Abit IC7-MAX III motherboard
Intel Pentium 4 Extreme Edition 3.2, overclocked to 3.76
2 GB Mushkin 222 special PC3500 RAM, overclocked to 235 FSB (940 Mhz FSB with Dual Channel), timings at that overclock are 2-2-2-6
MSI 6800 Ultra, 256mb
Creative Audigy 2 zs platinum
Klipsch ProMedia 5.1 speakers
WD Raptor 74gb 10,000 RPM hard drive (C:)
WD 250gb SATA hard drive
WD 400gb SATA hard drive
2 Plextor DVD burners
Razer Diamondback mouse
Thermaltake Butterfly 480w PSU
NEC 1760v 17" LCD Monitor (Secondardy monitor isnt in the pic, but it is a JVC 50" Plasma). It is off to the left, out of the pic beyond that DVD stand, hooked via DVI)

as you can see, I am almost a corporal. I stopped playing for a week or two, and have been playing a lot lately to try and get promoted.

Nice setup guys. I see a mic in the 2nd set of photos.

Yall need to join Xfire, so that we could play together. Joining up on our Teamspeak server will also help, if you have a mic setup.

We may get 2-3 AR15.commers playing together some nights, but it would be better if we could get a larger sqaud working together.

9 out of 10.

No respectable C64 system would be seen in public without a cassete tape drive.

Where did you get the BF2 keyboard? Thats cool.

It's the Z-Board. An ad for it should've been included with your game.

I got mine at Comp USA. $50 for the port which comes with a standard keyset and a gaming keyset, and
$20 for the BF2 specific keypad. The port stays and you just pop in your specific game keyboard template.

Nope, never got one with the game but now I know. I will have to get the board and the BF2 keyset. Almost $70 for them, wow! Anyone have it cheaper than compUSA?

Never mind. NewEgg has the board for 43.00 and the BF2 keyset for 19.00. I will order them next week.

Do I have to install anything (drivers)? Or is it just plug and play?

It comes with a disk, real quick set up. It knows when a new keyset is put on it - may have to access the internet to figure out just what, but it knows.

I have that exact same machine as my company provided work laptop. It just replaced an old Dell laptop.

I royally hate that curved keyboard, but otherwise it is a good system.

I really like the keyboard.
But as you can see I have key pad for gaming.
