With the popularity of Arnold Schwarzenegger's speech at the Republican convention, the talk about changing the law to allow foreign-born US citizens has surfaced again. What do you think?

They'll always have some kind of a left over loyality to their home country. This WILL cloud their judgement when dealing with that country.

ABSOLUTELY NOT!

And it horrifies me that Senator Orin Hatch is sponsoring an amendment to the Constitution to change it.
His arguement is that when the Constitution was written the Founding Father's were concerned that the Presidency might be usurped by a wealthy foreign crown and that this fear is no longer a reasonable concern. THIS IS TOTAL BULLSHIT!

And as exhibit "A" I offer, GEORGE SOROS!

No, I have seen no valid reasons to change this requirement.

I like Arnold as much as the next guy but isn't he still a RINO on many issues? Especially on 2nd Amendment issues?
Link Posted: 9/1/2004 6:45:12 AM EDT
Nope.

Or in line of succession to the presidency. That means no speaker of the house, etc.
