Unless your allergic to eggs or HAVE gullian barre, yes, you should.

If your worried about Thimersol its a miniscule amount and the single person shots dont contain any.

Get the shot.
Wash your hands.
Cover your nose.

Yes YOU should get one.  One for each and every flu bug out there.  Maybe 20-30 different flu bugs.  One shot per week.

Downside: cost, possible soreness at the injection side, and a VERY small chance of some mild flu-like symptoms for a day or two.

Upside: a pretty good likelihood of NOT getting the flu, although not guaranteed (since the making of the vaccine involves some guesswork in predicting the strains of the flu).

that right there.

First year I have not gotten a flu shot.  I should stop on the way home and get it taken care of today.

9 Days of being sick so far, which started from flu and led to sinus issues, but I probably won't be getting the shot in the future either.  First time I can remember getting the standard "Flu," in my 27 years of life.  I do recommend for children and elderly, but I like to live on the wild side. YOLO!

The flu this year definitely sucked.

I'm on Day 9 as well.  Finally starting to feel better, but still hacking and coughing like a 100-year old chain smoker with consumption.

Yep, bout the second most miserable I've been due to sickness in my life and this time is trying to break that record.  First time was a sinus infection that trashed my equilibrium and had me on the couch for almost 2 weeks. Day 1 I had 103+ temperature all day and body hurt like hell. I had already been coughing for a few days prior. Day 2 roughly same just with 101+ temp. Start of Day 3 I thought I was over it and that's when the cough and sinus pressure kicked in.  That night I developed muffled hearing and a never ending ring in my right ear, still ringing as I type this.  Told my doctor I had a sinus infection and possible ear infection and they told me to wait it out.  The pressure in my head dropped this morning and I had some nice chunks run down my throat, but as the day has gone on I'm getting dizzy again.  Needless to say I'm headed back to the doc tomorrow in hopes of a better plan of attack.  Also the cough sucks... I wake up multiple times a night coughing.

I started to get the shot every year when my employer started providing them to us free on work time. It was a win-win for me, got the shot free and got paid to take it. Used to get the flu almost every year, since I started getting the shot I've not gotten the flu.

Dude, wtf. Shhhhhhhhh!

Don't fuck up funny.

OP, you shouldn't get a flu shot. they're for hippies and people who talk in the theater.

And I hear they make you gay. Not like normal gay either, like where you can operate in society. I'm talking about flamboyant, disgustingly human torch flamer. The guys that run around wearing assless leather chaps and banana hammoks.

Flu is worse on peple in your age category.

the 1919 flu spared the children and elderly. Murdered people between 19 and 45.

If you'd have gotten the shot, chances are you wouldn't be sick right now.

I don't. Personally, I think there is some benefit in getting sick once in a while.

That cough is going to continue for a while.

I'm shocked at how well Delsum[sp?] Orange works. I never had a cough medicine that I thought worked before.

I see you've never taken phenergan.

My wife works in a hospital. The three people she works closest with got flu shots and all have come down with something in the last few weeks. Can't say for certain it's the flu, but it looks like it. My wife hasn't had a flu shot, and is still healthy.
