Quite surprised how "rebuilt and modern" Grozny looks after the past happenings. Never thought the local economy would be that "healthy" even 20 years later...

Most of the buildings are empty shells dressed up to look good on the outside. Russia spent a lot of money trying to fix it up. |

To keep the peace and oil flowing,Russia invested a huge sum to rebuild Grozny and placed a real life James Bond bad guy,legitimate psychopath as its leader. However,outside of Grozny it's still lots of poverty. Just for a giggle,look up some videos or pictures of Kadyrov's convoys. He's the kind of guy who drives his Lamborghini through peasant villages to remind them he's king. He's also the kind of guy who has his henchmen abduct women and disposes of them when they're done. If the country were larger North Korea wouldn't be known as the most fucked up place on Earth.
