Stopped at WalMart this morning after work today.  Shelves were full of ammo.  I picked up 220 rounds of .223 and 250 rounds of 9mm to add to my practice pile.

No increase in price and no panics going on here.  I didn't look for .22lr.  I will stop again tomorrow.

ETA: yeah, yeah, I know.  CSB

Neck beards haven't recovered from blowing their load on .22lr in 2013 and they're still paying off their credit card debt from the m855 scare.

Enjoy it for now, there's about to be another mass panic.

I still haven't seen .22lr in Walmart since pre sandy hook. I do work full time though, so I don't go there and neckbeard around all morning waiting for it though. Hard to believe it still doesn't make it through the day on the shelves.

Maybe the ones that were doing it wrong. Some neckbeards made enough money flipping those things to pay for a few guns and a couple tax stamps.

I've been able to find lots of everything except .22LR for quite a while now.

The only way I see another panic is if Hillary gets elected.  Otherwise, it would have happened already.

The GOP really needs to get it's shit together.

That means that the GOPe is going to have to capitulate and take a step back and actually give the voters what they god damn want (strong on gun rights, strong against illegal immigration, strong for promoting jobs, and strong at reducing taxes).

If they can't be those things, the GOP-e will lose.  If we put up Jeb!!!! we will lose.  And it won't be to hitlery.  It will be to Bernie Sanders.

We have this thread every other day here and it goes like this:

.22lr can be found in some areas but many are still not seeing it.

Everything else is back to normal.

The end.

Haven't you heard Ted Cruz's speech about what really goes on in Washington?

They have their shit together, GOPe just doesn't give a shit about us.

Just eyeballing gunbot - it doesn't look like anything has changed in the market as a result of the Oregon shooting.

The 2016 election may have more of an effect.

I'm with Winch, northern VA is still dry or neckbearded as fuck.

Unlimited .22 around here but at five bucks a box of fifty.

It's managed to remain available to anyone who wants to shoot it at those prices, and the neckbeards have been cut out.

Lower the price and it will be neckbearded.

Cabelas in Buda had at least 1 full shelf unit of nothing but .223/5.56. Vacuum sealed packs of various things, full cases, .50 cal cans, you name it.  Pmags everywhere.  Weak-ass panic so far.

I only panic buy from Walmart after SGAmmo gets wipe out of inventory.

The only ammo calls I've been getting this week so far is for oddball stuff guys can't find elsewhere

I'm not really seeing any panic as after Sandy Hook when they were cleaning off the shelves

I left thousands of rounds on the shelf for others to enjoy.

You want to see shitloads of ammo on the shelves? Just go to Gander Mountain.

The have tons of everything, except .22,  right there,  for sale.

There is a small catch though..

I went to my LGS today and picked up six bricks (3,000) of CCI Quiets. Not neckbearding though. He said nobody ever asks him for subsonic ammo. I told him I'd take whatever he could get ahold of. I'm up to about 30,000 rounds from him in the last few months.

Added some 10mm and 6.8 SPC to my basement fort... even if I haven't shot a rifle since the summer.

We had these in Eagle River, AK walmart at nearly 60 cents a round

ETA: They had Federal Aluminum case stuff at $10 a box for 9 and $15 a box for 45. I FOed 500 rounds a piece at this price.

Meh.

I just buy online.  Wally World occasionally has deals, but I'm only there once every two months or so.

I've seen the 9, but if I saw 45 for that price I'd fo so hard I'd chip a tooth.

The CCI Quiets are still sitting on the shelf because they won't cycle a semi-auto and are only useful in a revolver or a bolt action gun.

I've been buying the aluminum cased Federal stuff, in 9mm ($9.97/50) and .40s&w ($14.97/50), for range use.

Yup, I figured that out after they were here
Some guys still love them for popping critters around their farms though so they do sell, just not as fast as the other stuff.
