Wow. I've seen threads get locked before, even caused one, but I've NEVER seen one removed from the board completely.

I'm just curious why. I've seen far more "removable" threads get locked and left in place.

Just curious...

Not criticizing the decision, per se. Simply pointing out it's extremely unusual, at least in my experience.

Gotta admit, though, that we probably all thought the same thing, as terrible as it is to think that way.

So, what will you Mods do with it?

Again, just curious...

I posted the original with a link to his possible presidential run, but I agree what came later shouldn't be going on here and didn't pertain to the subject.

I think there should be a thread purgatory, where we can see the errs of others!

No? ok... I'm with legs then

My .02 cents
Everyone runs their boards as they see fit and thats how it should be,I am an Admin on another board and we have a policy that we wil delete any illegal post but all others stand regardless of the vile nature or racist remarks.
It works for us over there but it would not work here ,civility is king here and i agree with that.
The one thing i would do is delete or move the offending post itself, that way whole threads are not lost to oblivion and it makes good sense to,I have seen people try and get a topic locked on purpose because they are losing an argument or they just plain hate the topic or subject for some reason.
Wierd things happen on BBS's and i have seen some of the wierdest.

Sheesh.

Why not just delete the offending post?  The mods did that to mine a couple of times, when I posted mildly risque pictures of healthy young women.[moon]

Ya you right. I don't appreciate being denied the pleasure of reading the thread myself, although I understand the need to moderate.

I've been here 4 years. Cut me some slack and email me the thread if you can. I want to read it all, warts and everything.

Since when is a picture of an actor all done up for "Planet of the Apes" an accurate representation of a link in the evolution of  man?[rolleyes]
