From MSNBC Week in Pictures: With weapon drawn, Marine Staff Sgt. Steve Clayton of Tampa, Fla., keeps an eye out for sharks on Dec. 1 as sailors dive from the elevator deck aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt, stationed in the Arabian Sea to support U.S. military operations in Afghanistan. Is the 5.56 round really going to stop a shark? Shouldn't he at least have the M203 launcher ready? The guy next to him could always throw the Sony Mavaca at the shark if worse come to worse. Av. Av.

Now where is the photo of the Marine Corporal with the M14 backing the other guy up? I wouldnt be in the water unless somebody had an M14 nearby. The second guy is there to take a picture should the shark actually get someone, cause he bet the Staff Sgt a case of beer that a 5.56 wouldnt stop a shark. Note the Staff Sgt's safety and trigger finger. Kharn
