9000 Marines attacked 10,000 heavily fortified Japs.  Our WW II. veterans are passing on at an alarming rate.  Have you ever told one of them "good job, and thanks for my freedom"?

I just read "With the Old Breed" E.B. Sledge or something similar. It's a terrific book that I recommend to everyone. It's about the authors experiences on Peleliu and Okinawa.
