CAPITOL HILL Senators are debating whether an actual or "virtual" fence should be built along parts of the U-S-Mexico border. The lawmakers are currently writing an immigration bill.

Republicans are split on a proposal for a "virtual" fence, using cameras and other technology to monitor illegal traffic. Last year, the House passed a measure calling for hundreds of miles of fencing at heavily trafficked areas on the southwestern border and study of a possible fence along the Canadian border.

The Senate Judiciary Committee is scheduled to meet on the issue again next week.

when are they going to learn that all they have to do is put the NG on the boarder. it would be a lot cheaper too, since the cameras and high tech drones and other shit that they have covering the boarder is doing such a fine job

Are these cameras retofitted with big guns?

If not, put the guard there for a while.

And they will continute debate until after the elections this fall, when the subject will "vanish" to one of their millions of "back burners".

There's something more to this than meets the eye....there's no way they can be listening to the people and yet they want us to believe they are.

What on Earth are they doing or thinking?

Let's sum it up:

-You have a few Republicans that say build a fence and kick 'em out - not gonna happen
-You have GWB's guest worker program, make them go home get the permit, come back and work then voluntarily return home - not gonna happen
-You have McCain and Kennedy's Amnesty proposal, just make them all legal workers and they can become citizens if they pay a $2000 fine - possible if the Dems and RINOs get together, still would have to get through the House though

Bottomline is nothing will happen, the Republicans will be potrayed as ineffective, and all the Democrats have to do is sit back and watch it unfold saying the whole time that they have the solution but the evil Republicans will not let them protect America while offering no specific details.
