Legislative Agenda for the 109th Congress
Gangs, Drugs and Public Safety: Criminal Street Gang Abatement - Combats gang violence by increasing the penalties for the most serious gang crimes and by making it a federal crime to recruit persons to join a criminal street gang and to use a minor to commit a violent federal crime. (S.155, introduced 1-26-05 with Senator Orrin Hatch.) Methamphetamines – Requires pseudoephedrine products, which are used in making methamphetamines, be sold behind the counter, similar to a law in Oklahoma law (toughest in nation), and limits sales to 9 grams of pseudophedrine in 30 days, requires ID and signature for purchase of such cold medicines. (S.103, introduced 1-16-05 with Senator James Talent.) Assault Weapons Ban – Reauthorizes the 1994 assault weapons ban, which was approved by the Senate last year, but failed to pass the House. (S.620, introduced 3-14-05 with Senators John Warner, Chuck Schumer and Mike DeWine) Military Sniper Weapon Regulation Act - Curbs the sales of the powerful .50-caliber military sniper rifles in order to make it more difficult for terrorists, doomsday cults and criminals from obtaining these deadly weapons. (To be introduced in the coming weeks) |

And in other breaking news, bears shit in the woods.
Of course they will. The bastards. |
So, would you vote for the pro gun dem or anti to moderate Rep. Its not about who votes, but who controls what gets voted on.
If they somehow regained power wouldn't it be in the 110th Congress ? Not a comforting thought anyway since about 1/4 of the Republicans would vote for such legislation as well
Right but it is a top priority for her |
Not surprised. |
And this is surprising just how?
They are gunowner's sworn enemies. This is something EVERY gun owner should expect. |
Next year is an election year.
Control of Congress is at stake. |
Sad thing is that if just a few pro gun congressmen lose and afew antis win it'll get rammed down our throats and quite a few republican RINO libs will be more then happy to go along with it. I don't have all that much trust in the republican party anymore, as way to many have turned out to be cowardly little turds, afraid to speak up, and to stupid to understand the Constitution.
Quite honestly, our best bet is to have the SC rule that the second amendment covers firearms period, regardless of "look" and type of action/function. |
I sadly agree. |
I'll be dancing on air if Feinstein and Boxer both (or either) gets defeated in their next re-election bids.
It could happen. I pray for it. CJ |
Im gonna push a bill to push California out of the republic.
Damn is it the 1980's all over again or did you just find her web site?
This is really not news, take a look at Boxer's, Schumer's, Clinton's and Metzenbaum's more ideas from the '80's. |
You've got my vote I could use the tax break from you guys! |
DIANNE FIENSTIEN IS AGAINST GUNS!
That's it, I'm not donating another penny to her campaign! |
Same. I can say, without any doubt, I have given my last contribution to her campaign. |
Why dont you take care of it for us, you can escape back to the motherland via the Bering Strait! |
No, she's not against gun ownership, FOR HERSELF! She has one of the very few concealed carry permits issued in the state of Kalifornia. She's just against gun ownership FOR YOU! |
In Kalifornia ?!?! |
Of course she will. That is EXACTLY what I stated in the Schumer thread. IF the Dems regain power, we are fucked. THAT is why if you all wish to keep your guns, you will NEVER vote for a Democrat.

Why the hell do these people always look like they sat on a corncob. She's gettin damn ugly quick, her frown lines go all the way to her double chins.
She's like a cockroach, she'll survive it. She is the poster child for term limits. |
When will you Californians vote her out of office? WHEN??????????????????????

[sarcasm]Wow... that's good news.[/sarcasm]
Kind of figured that's how it would play out anyway. That woman seriously needs to be put on her ass. |
She is a liar. The Senate did not approve it. It was all part of the lawsuit bill and they killed it after that was attached. Oooohhh, the .50 caliber sniper rifle with which a crime has never been committed. |
Pre-emptive action is what its all about these days, which is why you will need to report to the nearest hospital next year to have your hands removed -- hands are used by the majority of criminals, and after all, you don't actually NEED them... |
Funny, I don't see any of the Arfcom liberals trolling THIS thread.
Next time the socialists gain power it ain't going to be all that incremental.
Well ... maybe ... the Senate did agree to attach the amendment. Then they killed it. So its (sort of) fair to say that they approved it. Neither version is the whole truth. The whole story is that members of the Senate voted for the amendment to pay their policical due to Fineswine et. al. Then, having discharged their duty by voting for the amendment, they voted their concience, and the will of their constituents by killing the whole bill. That paints a very unflattering picture of what the Senate really thinks of the witch, so its hardly surprising that she tries to take the most positive view possible, and loses a lot of context in the process. |
These guys voted to attach the AWB though so it getting passed in the Senate is very realistic if it can get out of committee. The House should be a different story for awhile though. These voted to renew it: Collins (R) ME Snowe (R) ME Chafee (R) RI Dewine (R) OH Voinovich (R) OH Smith (R) OR Lugar(R) IN Warner (R) VA and you know McCain wanted to but he has to worry about the POTUS election in 2008. |
If enough people in enough districts vote for the "moderate, gun-grabbing" Republican, it won't matter if the Demos are in charge or not. |
Absolutely true. Cf. Smith in Oregon! |
They should just go nuclear and ban everything with one full swoop. Really. |
+1, I will even get you transport across the strait on your way back. -Ben |
