Ever wish you could get something back that you sold or traded? Like what were you thinking when you did that? The two I am dwelling on this week are:

1. Sold my 7 acres of land. Now I can't find a cheaper replacement and have no base of operations for my outdoor stuff. It's going to get worse next week when I give the gov'ment a big chunk of the profit.

2. Why did I sell my mint 1986 Suzuki GS1150E motorcycle 4 years ago? It would be really retrocool now and I'll never find a decent one now.

P.S. Gun deals too numerous to list.

Think before you sell, my brothers!

A couple of years ago I sold a Ruger P94L (the P94 with the laser integrated into the dust cover) that was very much LNIB. I made all of about $100 proffit on it and now you can rarely even find a picture of one. That sure was a boner.

I am being forced to sell a .300WIN Sniper Rifle I spent $2200 on building, I only broke in the barrel, and now All I can get for it is $1300.  I am going to kick myself in the butt in a few years when Im ready for Long Range Shooting and can manage the recoil better.
Well....You live and learn.

I bought a Colt SP1 in the summer of '79.

About three years later I needed some quick money for engine work on my car. See where this is going? Yup, I cast an eye around and that's where it landed. Got what I paid for it, and what the heck, I can always get another.

I started missing that rifle within a week. And it was about the time that Purdy (expletitive, be careful here, anything you add may sound to faggish [:D]) did his thing and all of a sudden I couldn't get another.

I did get a Colt when they became available again and I'm NOT going to make that mistake again. [BD]

Yepper, '62 MGA Mark II, last year they were made. Got orders for Germany, this was '73. Was gonna let my brother 'babysit' it. Wife said, "We'll get another when we get back to the States'. Paid $600, put in another $300 and sold it for $850. Yeah, right!

She realizes the error of her ways and has never repeated those words since! Does help the 'black toy' collection.

So, if ya see a '62 MGA Mark II under $12K, let me know!

Don't sell or trade 'em off, you'll always regret it.
Too bad we can't keep "wimmens" like we keep our treasured guns...

In 1984, I sold a very clean, near mint 1970 Plymouth `Cuda that had a factory 440 "six pack" engine (3 2bbl carbs!). I got $6000 for the car and thought I had done well. The new owner sold it in 1989 for $19,000. All he did to it was store it. The market for muscle cars took off in a big way in the late `80's. Today the car is worth about $25-30k. Hind sight is 20-20.
Never sold a gun though and never will.

My hat's off to you guys who never sell a gun. My trading around is a sickness brought on by living in a state that still permits gun enthusiasts to meet and trade guns in public, at least in less urban counties. I'm sure someone will fix this "Merchants of Death" loophole eventually.
