I thought self-defense was illegal, no matter what weapons you used. No, you have to call the police, who also aren't allowed to defend themselves. They have to call the SWAT team if any defense is required.

 yea i saw that on CBS news last night, it and a bunch of other designer, "defensive" crap was being displayed like that "bulletproof" corsage that is suppose to be worn over the heart

Wrong, Mrs Vito and me chased down a couple of teenage thugs who threw a brick through our front window 3 years ago, beatings were 'administered', the PoPo turned up, nothing was said to her (pick handle) or me (Maglite). And break into my home armed and you are going to get lead indigestion.... and that's perfectly legal.... ANdy |

wrong.... you need to understand minimum force..... A legaly held firearm may be used in self defense if the circumstances dictate. A very very rare situation here in the UK but if a firearm is used in an attack and one(legally held) is to hand for the victim to use it may be used in self defence. It's all a matter of level of threat....we are not allowed to shoot a burglar carrying a stick The chance of ever being in a situation to use a firearm in self defence in the UK is a million to one..... But there's a lot we can do....to protect ourselves. From my bedroom to my front door I pass...4 items strategicaly placed that can be used for defence some people here in the UK might find that bizzare  Taffy |
