It doesn't get better than the scene where Bond (Sean Connery) bangs Pussy Galore in the hay in Goldfinger.

I like the new guy.  I heard he doesn't use guns and stuff.  He just uses words to convince George Bu... I mean... bad guys to not hold the world hostage with nuclear weapons.  Peace is cool.  Yeah, peace!

I liked both Connery & Moore, leaning a little more towards Moore. They were different characters, one was a rough, slap women around tough guy (Connery) & the other was a smooth, womanizing jokster.

Moore was the worst Bond.

He's raving hypocritical Anti as well.

I've been told when I was younger I used to see Sean Connery as James Bond and I was utterly in love with him.

So is Connery, if a list I saw posted here recently is correct. Connery is the definitive movie Bond cause he got there first. I'd like to hear from someone who read Fleming recently (it's been years for me) chip in as to which one compares better with the novel. I would bet Connery.

Everybody kneejerks "Sean Connery" because its the classic response that people think makes them look sophisticated. In truth, the early bond movies were dull by comparison with later movies. And be absolutely clear - SEAN CONNERY IS ANTI-GUN !!! He was prominent in calling for the handgun ban in the UK after the Dunblane tragedy (rumor was he wanted to start a political career in Scotland, and this was the way to do it... even though he lives in Spain). Scumbag IMHO.

"I can read, Trebek!"

Sean Connery will always be THE James Bond. Moore was okay, Brosnon is okay, and that one fruity guy was just plain creepy.

Didn't we just do this?...

Sean Connery was my favorite in the movies (taken in the context of their day - today, the older ones look admittedly cheesy...) but Timothy Dalton played Bond closest to the character described in the original books, IMHO.

I go with Connery...although Pierce Brosnan is a close second for me.

I have heard that Timothy Dalton was probably closest to the literary Bond in both appearance and manner....

You left out at least one, more if you count Niven/Allen or the upcoming "new guy."

This was a pretty good Bond flick.  Physically Lazenby was close to Connery and did a good job.  I think Connery's delivery of the humourous lines was the best of all, maybe because of the Scot accent.

Hate to admit it but I think Moore was the best, the Brosnan then Connery. I pick Moore because I grew up with him as Bond. My favorite Bond flick was View to a Kill. Yeah, I know it was a lame one but come on Christopher Walkin kicked ass as a Bond villian! I also liked Octopussy. Damn that movie sucked but I liked it as a kid.

Connery #1, Pierce #2, but that could be just because I like the movies Golden Eye and Tomorrow Never Dies.

Who voted for Roger Moore?

His flicks were fun but Connery was, and always will be, Bond.

Pierce Brosnan was probably my #2 favorite Bond though. More suave than Moore IMHO.

I voted Moore cuz of the trampoline chick. I thought she was a hot little thing.

Also I thought he had a cool car alarm.

EDIT... Who the hell cares?

One thing Connery and Moore had going for them were that they were both institutions. All the other Bond actors did a couple of movies and got replaced.

Personally, my favorite was Dalton. Also, that redheaded chick in that cocaine smuggling Bond movie of his was st00pid hawtt. With two 'Ts'.

time has not been kind to roger moore, he still dresses like he is in the 70s and has aged badly like luke skywalker aka mark ham (sp).  now sean connery has been very successful after 007.
