Who would be the most experienced H&K 91/G3 gunsmith who also knows 922r regulations? Please respond in detail. Thank you, Regards, FRIZ

My two favorites are Murray Urbach (972-864-0848) and Jim Gravitt (217-335-2727). They both know their stuff, but Urbach is much faster. Jim's advantage is his prices are better, but you have to have patience with him.

What's with the sec922r gunsmith questions? Didn't you post the same thing about a Galil recently? 922 guidelines are available everywhere on the net and they apply to all firearms equally, be they HK types, Galils, AK's, FALs, etc.

There are others like the great Terry Dyer, but I think he is no longer working on guns unless you are already a good customer of his. S&H, AZ response, but I don't have any experience with them. I'd avoid RTDS, as I've heard some not so good things. As far as references for Urbach and Gravitt. Urbach is probably the best in the business know that Dyer is possibly out of the business. He's probably made over half of the conversions since Vollmer stopped working on guns. I've seen his MP5s, MP5K-PDWs, HK53s, HK51s, HK21s and they have been works of art. He has also done MSG90 and PSG1 conversions but I haven't run into one yet. Gravitt used to work for Vollmer with Dyer, so he shared in the work on most of the HKs from the Vollmer days. That's good enough reference in my books. He did my MP5-N.
