For the next thread in this series, I'm looking for a good seafood restaurant between Williamsburg, VA and DC.

I don't care about the atmosphere and I don't eat at uppity formal establishments .

I am just looking for the best seafood in the area that isn't  going to cost $80 for two people.

Suggestions?

Oh, and "In" before Red Lobster.

Many years ago we ate here, in Williamsburg, and it was seafood heaven:

Edit - it may still cost you $80 for two

Pretty much this.

There is a place just down the street from there called Oceans & Ale. It's more of a bar type eatery. They have some good seafood dishes there, but it isn't entirely seafood. Good local brews on tap too.

There's a Red Lobster near there.

If you want more upscare, try the Long John Silvers.

Divert to US-29 and hit Blue Ridge Seafood in Gainesville, just before I-66 to DC.

We went there 2 years ago. My 16yo son still talks about Capt. Georges. My daughter who does not like seafood also brings it up occasionally due to the tasty rolls and other non-seafood items.

Another place we really enjoyed in Williamsburg was Oceans & Ale. Great food and a great selection of beers and cider on tap.

If you are around Petersburg there was a hole-in-the-wall place named the Crab Dump that made the best fried scallops I've ever had.
